zfs send/receive : panic and reboot
<copied from opensolaris-dicuss as this probably belongs here.>
I kept on trying to migrate my pool with children (see previous threads) and had the (bad) idea to try the -d option on the receive part.
The system reboots immediately.
Here is the log in /var/adm/messages

Updating gfortran in CentOS 5.4?
We're finding that several of the packages we
need don't compile using the version 4.1.2 of
gfortran that comes with CentOS 5.4. So,
I've built the latest version of gfortran (e.g. 4.4.2)
but I've done it so that all the new version's
files go in /share/apps/gnu so that they
don't interfere with the standard gcc distribution
(building gfortran requires building some parts

There is no amber lights on the server.
When I log into my server it is fine, on my remote mounted home directory.

Package RPostgreSQL_0.1-6.tar.gz has been checked and built
Hi Dirk
I think there are problems with pg_config, the configure script of
RPostgreSQL checks for pg_config and got ¡°checking for pg_config...

installed, there are in /usr/postgres/8.2(8.2.9) and

HP (compaq) RAID - How to get alerts?
Hi All,
Background: I have HP RAID setups (Smart Array 5, shows up as
/dev/cciss/c0d0) on my DL380s, and they run great with CentOS. I have
had a drive failure (HDD lights up amber), so I pulled the HDD, replaced
it and the RAID controller rebuilt the array in a jiffy - no probs.
My question: I cant find anything in the logs to alert me that a drive
failed - this makes sense since the RAID

'break' function in loop
Dear R helpers,
I have some difficulties in using ''break'' function with loop, and the followings are my script. What I try to do is (1) permute ''or'' first; (2) doing t-test if this ''or'' pass criteria 1 (k=1); (3) end the loop when I get 10 permutations; (4) redo everything again but this time use criteria 2 (k=2) (I have more criteria 1:n).

I am new to llvm. I was wondering if there is a pass available with llvm that constructs the system dependence graph. Thanks in advance for help/ideas.

Samba and mulitple user connections
I have a Solaris system with Samba on it, along with two PC's a windows
2000 and XP. Shares were setup via SWAT. A user can access the shares
on the 2000 machine after putting in login credentials when browsing
through windows explorer. However, when trying to login the same share
through XP the user gets "network connection has been lost." Although
the XP machine can and stays

Linksys SPA94x keep-alive reply replies to wrong address (1.4.32)
It appears as though the 489 Bad Event response to the NAT keep alive
event responds to the local address, instead of responding to the
NATted address.
This causes Linksys phones to go amber (no registration) after a short
amount of time after placing calls.
Turning the Linksys NAT keep alive off is a workound, but non-ideal in
may situations.
Apparently the asterisk devs don't even think

Non-GPL packages for R
Subject: Non-GPL packages for R
Packages that are not licensed in a way that permits re-distribution on
CRAN are frequently a source of comment and concern on R-help and other
lists. A good example of this problem is the Rdonlp2 package that has
caused a lot of annoyance for a number of optimization users in R. They
are also an issue for efforts like Dirk Eddelbuettel's cran2deb.

Tripp Lite G1000U (0x2007)
Hello,
I'm new to the list, new to NUT, but not new to Unix-likes. I
could use some help getting NUT to talk to my Tripp Lite G1000U.
Searching Google for "Tripp Lite G1000U" returns exactly two hits
at this writing, so that may not be a good sign. ;-) It may just
be rebranded for sale through this source (Costco).
Externally, the G1000U looks much like the SMART1000LCD: an amber

How to specify ff object filepaths when reading a CSV file into a ff data frame.
Hi,
The read.csv.ffdf function in package ff will create the ff object
physical file in the default directories, I am trying to let the files
created in the paths users specify, I think the point is to make use
of the asffdf_args parameter,
I have a test CSV file named D:\rtemp\fftest.csv, the content of the
file is as following:
col1,col2,col3
1,"amber",2.4
2,"linda",4.5

On Loop Distribution pass
Dear community,
Our team at IITH have been experimenting with loop-distribution pass in
LLVM. We see the following results on few benchmarks.
clang -O3 -mllvm -enable-loop-distribute -Rpass=loop-distribute file.c
clang -O3 -mllvm -enable-loop-distribute -Rpass-analysis=loop-distribute

(no subject)
Hi,
I would also be in favor of a stronger stance on licenses. In
industry, where we can really get in big trouble for violating a
license,
we often maintain internal repositories, or need to be careful about
filtering
what is used from CRAN. I think that is should really be a requirement
the package
authors commit to stating what the restrictions are on their packages.

WARNING to those running Samba on OpenIndiana or other Illumos based systems with > 16 groups
Just a heads-up, because this bug took me absolutely ages to chase down,
and I want to save others the same pain.
Samba is perhaps the most prominent reason why you might find a user in
more than 16 groups on a Unix system, and so this bug may at first
appear to be a 'Samba issue' (that certainly is why it found it's way to
my attention :-)
