Per a discussion with an Internet2 professor this PM: ACHTUNG: Note the repo is apparently without SRPMs so it becomes difficult to vet. Further, no mirrors have been spotted, which is not to say there

Hi, We're new to dovecot and like what we see so far, but Google doesn't seem to have much on this error message. What are the likely causes? Kind regards, Larry Vaden, CoFounder and CEO Internet Texoma, Inc. We Care About Your Connection The Market Leader In Texomaland Since 1995

Hello, Does anyone know of a good URL that covers the remote install/upgrade of a FC3 system to CentOS 4 or 5? We have one physically stranded FC3 system which is a name server and we need to upgrade to remove vulnerabilities. Kind regards/ldv Larry Vaden Internet Texoma, Inc.

merging Maildir from old machine to new machine
Dovecot version 1.0.rc26. Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower available for email. Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config) or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by Dovecot? Kind regards and thanks/ldv Larry Vaden Internet Texoma, Inc.

CentOS 4.3/postfix/procmail lock failures
Hello, What is the proper solution to the problem below the sig? For a similar issue, Phillip Guenther, procmail's maintainer, at <http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.procmail/1623/match=error+writing+var+spool+mail> suggests "chmod g+s /usr/bin/procmail", but I'm reluctant. There are also suggestions that in this configuration the packager must make certain that

Gnu Screen - terminal issues
I really like gnu screen and use it everyday but there's one thing that is a bit inconvenient, and that's the odd line wrapping and terminal size issues that seem to pop up. The problem crops up when I type or paste a really long command, and then go back and try to edit it; the text starts to wrap over itself and you have no idea what you are editing. Any fixes for this?

Hello, Is anyone else having problems with the ssh session output stalling when ssh'd to another system and the command is running via sudo and a pager is being used (e.g., more)? Too highly reproducible :( to date, all known occurrences have involved Centos 4.3 servers; makes no difference whether client is RHEL WS 4.3, Centos 4.3 or FC 5 or WinDoze. problems with yum and 4.3-->4.4
Are the problems with yum in the Centos 4.3->>4.4 upgrade process due to a forked or obsolete version of yum? I briefly scanned <https://lists.dulug.duke.edu> and didn't see any problems, but did see some incidents regarding yum hangs reported about a year ago. regarding the current upgrade, Seth Vidal in

IP6 Anyone?
Today I received an allocation of IP6 addresses for some servers. I can 'play' with the last 2 of the 8 IP6 address segments. I always thought, mistakenly, IP6 was 6 segments, because it was IP6. IP4 had 4 segments. However IP6 is actually IP version 6 and it has 8 segments. The other interesting discovers are: :: means one or more 0 segments, example :: can mean 0:0:0: or just 0:0: or

recovery from loss of libssl.so.4?
libssl.so.4 was erased by accident and now, e.g., iinvoking wget results in: wget: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [root at mail src]# How does one go about restoring libssl.so.4?
