Crossover cable for E1 ?
I'm looking to connect a BMC 450 to an asterisk with a Digium Quad E1 card.
Am I right in thinking that I'll need a special 'crossover-E1' RJ45 cable?
If so, any clues where I might buy one in the UK? The Digium card sellers don't seem to
stock such a thing.

Colours for sunflowerplot
Dear fellow R users,
I would like to draw a "sunflowerplot" because I have data (decade by
month) that plots multiple times on the same x-y co-ordinates. Further I

Pinouts for T1/E1 crossover cable WAS "RE: whatcable to connect a legacy PBX to a TE410P ?"
The "telco guys" probably did something non-industry standard and reversed send and receive in the jack that they plugged the CAT5 into. Sure it works, sure it is easier, sure it is not the correct way of doing things.

Line Graphs
Hello,
I want to plot 6 line graphs. I have 10 points 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6,
0.7, 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0.
At each point say 0.1, I have 6 variables A, B, C, D, E and F. The variables
all have values between 0 and 1 (and including 0 and 1). I also want to
label the x axis from 0.1 to 1.0 and the y axis from 0.1 to 1.0.
My goal is to plot a line graph representing the mean of the variables at

I have the following problem.
I want to use pairs function and get a matrix of scatterplots with the
correlations in the upper panel and the ordinary scatterplots in the
lower panel.
Moreover, I want to have points colored in five differet ways in the
lower panel, because I have five subgroups.
In order to do that I tried to combine examples on pairs function help.

Thanks for the help.
Charles pointer to the IP address that was 'not listening' gave me the hint. I had assigned the listening interface to the crossover cable connected network cards link between the two nodes. I changed it to the switch connected network cards and bingo.
The lack of power in the other node was telling the surviving node on reboot that the

need help with world of warcraft on crossover
so first off wow works on wine but wines being gay and when i hit maximize it maximizes but the actual wow window is still the same size and i have problems running tf2 on crossover it tells me "Setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesnt exist in subdirectory 'hl2'. Check your -game paramater or VCONFIG setting.and tf2 works fine if i just switch over to ms home edition by restarting.

Adit Asterisk Cabling Connundrum.
I am hoping to replace my Nortel 8x24 switch with
Asterisk. Right now my cabling comes from my outside
phone box into my office and into a punchdown block
and leaves the punchdown block as an amphenol
connector which currently plugs into the Nortel
swicth. A second amphenol connector them plugs into
the switch and extends to another punchdown block that

Results of an incorrect crossover pinout??
Say I had a crossover cable that connected a Mitel SX200 to a TE110P and the
pinout was done as such:
1 - 4
2 - 5
5 - 1
4 - 2
(the 5 and 4 are transposed on the left side)
Instead of the proper way of:
1 - 4
2 - 5
4 - 1
5 - 2
What would the results be? We have had the former as our cabling for a few
months and the connection has been fine. Slip errors here and there. But we

need help on second Ethernet port (eth1) point to point connect
I have two DELL servers with two Ethernet ports in it.
Bith servers have CENTOS 4.5 installed. First
Ethernet port connect to public Ethernet line and work
correctly. Second Ethernet port I connect
point-to-point as private Ethernet (cable direct
connect without router or switch). Private Ethernet
use IP asddress 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2.

FXS channel banks
Greetings list,
I've been asked to provide a system for 200 extensions, most of which will be existing analogue POTS handsets, not IP handsets. I've not really had any experience with large channel banks in the past (since most of our deployments are strictly IP-only to the desk), so I'm at a loss as to which ones are worth looking at.

Avaya/Lucent Definity -> Asterisk interop question
Calling all Definity admins,
Got a few questions about Definity -> Asterisk interoperability.
1) What are the options for integration? Can I hand off extensions from the
Definity and vice versa?
2) Anybody have any working configs they would like to post?

Problems Connecting Two Asterisk Installs Via ISDN PRI Cards
I am trying to connect two machines to each other with an T1 crossover
cable. The first machine has two TE120P cards - one connecting to the telco
on an ISDN PRI. The second to a crossover T1 cable to a second machine which
has one TE120P card.
Telco <-cA-> Machine1 <-cB-> Machine2
Machine1: Two TE120P cards
Machine2: One TE120P card
cA: Standard T1 Cable
cB: Crossover T1

Need T1 crossover cable?
I'm connecting a T1 PCI card to a Nortel Option 61 switch T1 card. My
Sangoma A102D shipped with 2 T1 cables - which I assume are straight
through. Do I need to make crossover cables for this scenario?

Ethernet packet loss - frame errors
Hi all,
I have the following problem. A Linux box configured as a bridge. One
interface connects to the router via a crossover cable, the other
connects to a switch via the cable that used to go to the router.
Now I get the following:
[root@localhost net]# ifconfig eth3

Mitel SX-200 + *
Does anyone have any experience getting a Mitel SX-200 EL/ML PBX system
to work with *?
I'm not getting inbound or outbound calls to work. (Inbound caller gets
line busy tone.)
SETTINGS FROM MITEL:
I built a Crossover cable and connected it like this:
PSTN--T1--ASTRISK--T1--OLD MITEL
