The drive is an Hitachi, still under warranty. There are bad sectors on it, and running the Hitachi DFT tool confirms this. Also I cannot repair the bad sectors. Dear all Is there a way to stop a running scrub on a zfs pool? Same question applies to a running resilver. Both render our fileserver unusable due to massive CPU load so we''d like to postpone them. In the docs it says that resilvering and scrubbing survive a reboot, so I am not even sure if a reboot would stop scrubbing or resilvering. Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers, Thomas

Would it cause problems if I created a raidz1 pool across all 5 drives? I know the PATA drive is slower so would it slow the access across the whole pool or just when accessing that disk? In the process of replacing a raidz1 of four 500GB drives with four 1.5TB drives on the third one I ran into an interesting issue.
