R and LINGO?
Good Evening
Does anyone in the R-help list have experience writing an R wrapper that interfaces with the commercial packages LINGO and/or LINDO.api from R?
I have a set of nonlinear/mixed integer problems that solve nicely with LINGO but I would like to use R to set the problems up and analyze/plot the solutions dynamaically. I have searched the archives and have not found any R packages that

Guatemala DID's?
I'm looking for a company that offers Guatemala DID's. I saw that Lingo does,
but Lingo isn't easily compatible w/ Asterisk, so they're a last resort.
Thanks in advanced, Phil Astin.

Speaking of 3Ware/RAID/SATA/9550SX...
I just built up a server running CentOS 4.3, and trying to boot from a 3Ware
9550SX-16ML, 16 port card. This system has 9x500GB drives, AMD Opteron, Tyan
K8SD mobo and 1 GB of ram. I downloaded the latest (9.3.0.4) driver from
3Ware, and after a couple of botched attempts, I got CentOS installed. In my
two botched attempts, the problem was X hanging during the formatting of the
drives, so I

Morrowind help
I finally got Morrowind installed on my 2.3GHz Intel i5 13" Macbook pro with wine. Everything runs great except for the bodies are all stretched and weird looking and I can't make that go away. I tried installing the better bodies mod but to no avail. It made no noticeable difference. I absolutely love this game but this bugs the hell outta me and I can't fix it. Any

Binning or grouping data
Newbie here. Many apologies in advance for using the incorrect lingo. I'm
new to statistics and VERY new to R.
I'm attempting to "group" or "bin" data together in order to analyze them as
a combined group rather than as discrete set. I'll provide a simple example
of the data for illustrative purposes.

Ok, Im an idiot. Can't remount the ext3 filesystem because I deleted the /.jounral file...
Hello everyone,
Ok, I admit it - I'm an idiot. But it seemed the right thing to do at
the time.... I'm running RH 6.2 with a 2.2.19ext3 (ext3 0.0.7).
I wanted to try out the new 2.4 kernel line, so I upgraded modutils, gcc
and few other things.. Compiled the kernel (did NOT patch it to ext3)
and installed it and rebooted. Well, it didn't understand ext3 fs.. Ok...

Personal Wiki for CentOS
For ages I have been keeping docs and notes in Public Folders inside an Exchange server
and want to move this out to a more modern facility that allows tagging and searching via
a web interface for keywords so I can keep all my notes more organized.
Anyone have any personal recos for the slickest system to do this with. Given the nature of
my home setup, its routinely used to lab stuff up so I

Primustel a.k.a. Lingo $20/month unlimited service
Hi all,
I just saw this article about this new offer from Lingo.com:
http://www.techweb.com/wire/story/TWB20040607S0008
$20 monthly plan with unlimited local and long-distance calling in North
America (US & Canada) and Western Europe. Plus first three months free and
free equipment. It doesn't say what hardware they send you.
Sounds like a very good deal.
I searched the list and

How to extract from a matrix based on indices in a vector?
Sorry, there may be some lingo for describing the extraction problem I have,
but I don't know it.
I have a matrix of 2 rows and N columns, and a vector of N 1s and 2s.
Matrix M:
1 2 3 4 ... N
1 A C D G ...
2 B D F H ...
Vector v:
1 2 2 1 2 1 1 ... N
I'd like to apply v to M to get
Vector w:
A D F G ...

/etc/gai.conf fails to prefer IPv4 over IPv6 for NFS
Using CentOS 6.9 with IPv4 configured, and _not_ disabling IPv6 yet, we
want this NFS client system to prefer the IPv4 address of a dual-stack
remote NFS server, which has both A and AAAA records in DNS.
Otherwise we get a minutes long pause while automounter tries to mount
the IPv6 address -- I can see automounter's '/bin/mount' running, using
the AAAA record of the server, until

Asterisk and InterTel Axxess system?
Hi all,
My office recently purchased an InterTel Axxess system with the IPRC
card for VoIP. To our suprise, this card allows the InterTel endpoints
and MGCP endpoints to work, but not SIP clients. I was really
expecting to get a SIP softphone working with this setup, but that
appears to require our vendor to sell us a SIP gateway and licenses at
a not yet determined price.
With this

Monitor Network Traffic
What is the best way to monitor the total incoming / outcoming network traffic of CentOS server. I think that the solution is to monitor the network interfaces and to send SNMP packets to remote server. But is it possible?
