Hello, A long Google search didn't turn any clear answer. Does somebody use Asterisk in combination with Lingo? Thank you, Bas
According to the fab sheet for the Dlink router they provide, it's SIP with G711, G723, G726, G729. Order the service, get the router, plug the WAN port into your LAN, fire up Ethereal, power up the router, and sniff what's being passed, you might be able to determine the user/pass, IP and codec and then you can just proxy Asterisk in with the same user/pass and bob's your uncle. hth -----Original Message----- From: Bas Rijniersce [mailto:bas@brijn.nu] Sent: Thursday, June 09, 2005 8:03 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Lingo(.com) and Asterisk Hello, A long Google search didn't turn any clear answer. Bas, I am in contact with them now. But in order for you to get Lingo's service, you MUST, per them, use THEIR ATA adaptor with your internet service. I asked, " Must I use YOUR ata device...", and she cut me off, as if she had been asked this 10000000 times, " No, our Lingo service is locked to the ATA device. " Rather then order the Lingo device, and reverse engineer it... I just decided to contact the parent company of Lingo, and have gotten info directly from them to date. They dont do " Credit " unless you can provide them with "audited financials." If you are without those, then expect a prepayment in cash. When the big boss told me that, I almost laughed my butt off as it would seem carriers get burned too! Speaking of which is there a way to use packet8 without the ata? I wouldn't mind so much as I only want to use from a single location but it's taking up a spare unnecessary pci slot. Brian, Please tell me quickly if there service *Worked* calling, unlimited to Mexico or not? I am being requested by there Parent Company to put down a nice Five Figure # as a down deposit. As long as I am able to call, per Lingo.com, unlimited, per whatever areas they advertise on their website, for whatever pricing I work out, and the service works, I will be happy. Did it not work or something? All 3 have since cancelled it. (I'm one of them). The scam is they make you pay for the box they force you to get to use their service. It will be hard to find but look through their TOS under termination. If its been more than 30 days you will be keeping the box and they will be billing you for it. __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! Stay in touch with email, IM, photo sharing and more.
