Eclipse Helios on CentOS 5.5 (was Websites Up!)
> Then I hope to finish my tutorial on installing Eclipse > Helios for Centos 5.5 Is there anything special to be done? I just unzipped the SR1 distribution for RCP/RAP developers linux-gtk-x86_64 and it works without problem on an up to date CentOS 5.5 x86_64. (to be more precise: I install it as root under /opt, install some plugins like subclipse and regular users start it from there)

Unable to get Ruby/WEBrick and Eclipse working - newbie
I''m trying to setup RoR on Windows XP with Eclipse using the various plug-ins RadRails, Ruby tools, Subclipse and I am unable to run an application within Eclipse or even using command line. On Eclipse it says in the Console: => Booting WEBrick... and then in the panel it says <terminated> Start WEBrick [Program] c:\ruby\bin\ruby.exe. I have tried various versions of Ruby --

Using ntlm_auth to get NTLMv2 Session support from an application
Hello: As many of you already probably know, the neon library is the workhorse for davfs support. However, right now, the current version of libneon has very limited support for NTLM, particularly NTLMv2, both on the challenge/authentication side as well as handling NTLMv2 Session Security. There is a patch somewhere to add NTLMv2 authentication support natively but there is zero support for

Please help with subclipse in radrails
I''ve been wrestling with this all night, I''m hoping someone can help. I followed the exact steps in: http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/HowtoUseRailsWithSubversion ..but when I open a new ''Checkout project from SVN'' in RadRails, it opens up the second level dirs as the project dirs (ie. app, log, script, etc), leaving me with a mess of projects. I redid

eclipse 3.1 rpm for centos

Eclipse (again)...
Hi Just thought I might ask my recent question about Eclipse again, only in a slightly different way: Is anyone here using the Eclipse version supplied with the CentOS 6 distro (as opposed to a build downloaded from www.eclipse.org)? Does it work for you? Are you able to install additional components via the built-in software setup mechanism? Thanks, - Toralf This e-mail, including any

Eclipse and StatET Howto (also added Subversion, Rtools)
I recently got a RFC on Eclipse and StatET setup from a R-help user, so here it is. Note: there may be slight errors of omission in my directions as I am making these notes after I had a successful install. If you have questions post here. Setup tested with Eclipse 3.4.0 on XP 32-bit and Eclipse 3.4.2 on Vista 32-bit. R 2.9.0 alpha. Installing StatET: 1. Go to Help > Software Updates...

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and CentOS 5 extras packages
Hi, In the advent of RHEL5 and CentOS 5, I've been rebuilding the RPMforge packages for EL5. You can find these at the usual location[*]. A few points though: + Not all RPMforge packages are available at this time + If you find a package that you need and isn't there, please do look at the buildlogs and send me instructions on how to fix this specific build. Eclipse with RDT
Has anyone used Eclipse with RDT (http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/show/RubyDevelopmentTools)? I have never used Eclipse. Would it be worth my time to setup Eclipse with RDT to create my first rails project?

Question about nut-dependencies

Sure, but it is normal for packaging systems to build the entire project, so that whatever someone wants is available, and thus depend on the union of the dependencies. That's what

Question about nut-dependencies
Packaging issues would be brought up with the distro... I have recently worked with Homebrew on a Mac VM for the CI farm, but otherwise have no clue about the ecosystem. Last saw/touched a physical Mac in school, 1994 or so :D Upsmon as such has no need for XML (libneon et al); that would be nut-scanner and the Eaton NetXML protocol driver. problem with a repo
Hello, I've got rpmforge and epel on centos 5.3. I'm trying to do an install of perl-Image-Info for spamassassin image scanning. The package was picked up in rpmforge since first, but it is failing to install because a dependency is missing. I added perl-Image-Info to rpmforge's excludepkgs line and tried to install the package again this time thinking it would pull from epel. This

Question about nut-dependencies
Well, NUT does "since forever" have reference docs on packaging into 8 or so entities each with its dependency tree, so heavy stuff can be pulled in on a need-to-have basis. As anything, it can be improved and updated, but it is there and many systems follow it. Those who missed the memo... the onus is on them. The `nut-scanner` tool (and its lib) design using run-time `dlopen()` of

offtopic repo's further discussion

Problems with rpmforge repo?
Hello, Tried yum update all yesterday and today and seems there is a perl dependency missing. Does anyone know if it is a problem or just a sync thing and that I should be more patient. Error is below: --> Processing Dependency: perl(Compress::Raw::Zlib) >= 2.020 for package: perl-IO-Compress --> Finished Dependency Resolution perl-IO-Compress-2.020-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge has

Not respected repo priorities...
Ah ah, the demo effect... just after I said I did not have much issues with repos... ^_^ A collegue installed some packages (for perconna) and since then a server insists on replacing 2 base packages with 2 rfx packages, even when I gave a lower priority to rfx... Suggested yum priorities settings for 3rd party repos
In the yum priorities page on the wiki Akemi Yagi suggests http://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities [base], [addons], [updates], [extras] ... priority=1 [centosplus],[contrib] ... priority=2 Third Party Repos ... priority=N (where N is > 10 and based on your preference) If you have rpmforge, kbs, epel all set up at 10 then wouldn't those also potentially overwrite
