Hi, This morning one of my servers (centos 4.5) refused to boot. The console shows a lopp message grub loading stage2... I've been able to boot from the install CD choosing the rescue option. I can chroot /mnt/sysimage with no problems and even started the services (network, mysql , httpd etc). How can I solve this? I've followed the manual (

Just updated another machine to 5.3, everything fine, but grub.conf wasn't updated to the 128 kernel. It got a new modified date and the kernel is there, but the content wasn't changed. /etc/sysconfig/kernel contains the correct UPDATEDEFAULT=yes No errors in logs or during the update. I may need a strong shot of coffee but I though putting "hide files = /~*/" as follows in the samba config file would hide files with a tilde. There are security updates upstream for CentOS (4 and 5) and it looks like the CentOS 5 ones have been rebuilt and rolled out. How come the CentOS 4 branch lags behind, or are the CentOS 5 devs different from the CentOS 4 devs? If more volunteers are needed I'm sure assistance could be offered by the CentOS community.
