Since I put my new Centos box on the net, it frequently
tr1es to make ftp contact with IP address 64.90.181.77 .
Why is this, and does anyone recognize this IP address?
Is it spyware?

Yeah dude, exactly. Except I actually do want to start using it. I've been
disabling SELINUX forever

Any ETA on 5.4?
I can wait, I just have a project coming up and am planning. I remember
seeing a post a couple of weeks back that RedHat 5.4 was released and at
that time a couple of weeks was thrown out for Centos 5.4 being
released. Are we still on schedule?
Thank you,,

Hey Jeremy,

Adding 'rw' to the command did the trick. I tried httpd_sys_content_rw_t and
that works fine! Thanks for the tip!

Zimbra MTA and Contact package?
Does anyone have any feedback on the Zimbra MTA and Contact software?
I just saw that Comcast is going to start using the software, I played
with it over a year ago and dumped it. It seems to have been developed
much further and works, open source and compiled for RedHat 4 Enterprise.
Any feedback would be helpful...
Thanks,

ClamAV help needed
ClamAV is installed on my CentOS box. I edited the conf file and assumed all
is well. Clearly it isn't.
Every day I see in logwatch that my signatures are updated, and the database
notified, but if I try to scan a file manually it tells me that my signatures
are 55 days old.
I tried looking at a how-to, in the hope of identifying the problem, but it is
hopelessly out of date, and I

centos5 iptables expert needed
Hello,
I'm setting up a centos5 router for a friend. It will direct traffic to
an internal webserver, already in place, as well as run squid proxy. It
should do nat and have a firewall with iptables. I've set up routers before
for this purpose but always of the bsd type and using their firewalls. I
understand the concepts, nat, packet filtering, etc. but i'm not getting

robots.txt
Hi all,
I have again noticed that the wiki does not really show up in search
results and wonder if it has any impact that robots.txt on
wiki.centos.org is empty.
Perhaps it should at least contain User-agent: * ?
Best Regards

Scheduled workers only run once unless you call self.delete inside the worker
I had a worker scheduled to run every minute with
backgroundrb_schedules.yml:
ebay_runner:
:class: :ebay_auction_worker
:job_key: :ebay_auction_runner
:trigger_type: :cron_trigger
:trigger_args: 0 * * * * * *
This worker posts an auction to eBay from a queue of auctions every minute.
I was having a problem where the worker would run ok the first time, but
never any subsequent minutes

Hi everyone. Sorry if it is not the place to post questions about
webgen. I use webgen5, i know it is not the stable version but i
couldn''t understand how webgen4 worked, it''s easier with webgen5, and
i won''t have to change my pages when it becomes mainstream ;)
I try to build my homepage using webgen, and there are some things i

Help Configuring TDM04B
Hi:
I had an fxo card from Digitnetworks and it was
working fine on my Asterisk box. I then replaced it
with TDM04B. I changed the zaptel and zapata to
include the four channels. When I run ztcfg, I get
configuration errors:
Channel map:
Channel 01: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01)
Channel 02: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 02)
Channel 03: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 03)

Website running slow and Timing Out, but at random...
I have a site running the current version of Centos 4.2, it has a
shopping cart running on it and runs slow and times out at random. The
cart is a simple php package using a MySQL database backend.
Can any one think of ways to improve the speed in MySQL and Apache, I've
had the cart checked by the software vendor, it's working like it
should, they are pointing to MySQL or Apache and

I assume you're using the DOS shell? because all unix shells I know
will expand the globs first so this syntax cannot work anyway.

Re: [Flac-announce] FLAC 0.7 released (but DON'T USE)
OK, after some debugging, it turns out this is
related to an earlier bug (#131976 which has a
temporary workaround). In other words, it will
not trigger unless you are encoding more than 2
channels, and only then at large blocksizes
(>32k samples).
The full fix will be in 0.8

[Flac-users] Open URL from Winamp
Hurm.. How difficult would it be to implement? I have experience
developing Winamp plug-ins, and it seems that the spec for streaming
flac files is written pretty well. I'd be happy to work on adding this
functionality.
