Bug#795330: Suggests noapic but doesn't support it
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.5-amd64
Severity: normal
Hi,
when running xen inside of kvm the hypervisor fails to set up the proper
IRQ routing and suggests to use noapic. If you add this via
GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN_DEFAULT
it will boot futher but then report that noapic isn't supported.
So please make Xen not claim to support noapic if it doesn't (the issue
was finally resolved by removeing

Choosing between TE405P and TE410P
Is there anything to choose, in performance, between a TE405P and a TE410P?
I understand the difference between the PCI bus voltages, and certainly
don't intend to try Andrew's hacksaw operation :-). But if I choose the
card first, and a compatible mobo second, does it make any difference which?
Cheers
Tony

acpi=no command?
Hi
I am trying to install CentOS 4.4 on an hp pavilion PC.
It wont install just boots in a circle, so I think I have to pass acpi=no at
boot stage.
Can anyone give me a detailed explanation how do this?
Thanks,

Dependency problem in heartbeat-ldirectord update for Centos 4.6
I've just been trying to do a "yum update" on a Centos 4.6 system, and one
of the packages it wants to upgrade is heartbeat-ldirectord from 2.1.2-3
to 2.1.3-2
However, the newer version has dependency problems that can't be resolved:

Sun Fire X4200 M2 / CentOS 5 APIC issues
I had been running CentOS 5 happily on my Sun Fire X4200 M2 systems,
then I upgraded the BIOS and iLOM firmware. Now I'm running into what
seems to be a fairly common problem with newer motherboards. I cannot
boot unless I use the 'noapic' kernel option. If I try to boot the
kernel normally, I get the error:

Boot problem with Debian Squeeza and Xen
Hi all,
I just upgraded my Debian/Etch with Xen3.3 machine to Debian/Squeeze
Xen4.0 and now have problems with starting the Dom0 kernel. I always get
the error message: Kernel panic not syncing: the kernel parameter noapic
is incompatible with xen.
My grub.cfg is:

Digium TE410P LED problem
Has anyone else experienced a problem with the LED for span 1 on a TE410P
or TE405P?
I had a TE410P on which the span 1 LED would not light red, but once the
span was connected, it did correctly light green.
I RMAed the board to our UK distrbutor and received a replacement. However,
the replacement board displayed the same problem!
Wondering if it was related to the computer I was putting it
