Can't start pand -- is the problem in /etc/rc.d/init.d/pand?
I have been stepping into pand. There is nothing I can find on this
list about getting pand working. There are some instructions on
wifi.bluez.org that seem to be redhatish, but....
I have edited /etc/sysconfig/pand:
PANDARGS='--listen --role GN --master'
I have created a /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-bnep0:
DEVICE=bnep0
BOOTPROTO=none
ONBOOT=no
IPADDR=192.168.201.101

More current version of bluez
Centos continues to fall behind in with the state of bluetooth development.
Nothing new from 5.1 to 5.2.
Has anyone got a more recent version working and have compile and rpm
build instructions?
Here are the rpms that I have:

bluez-hcidump-1.32-1.i386.rpm

Gnome Bluetooth Manager
I installed: gnome-bluetooth.i386 0.7.0-10.2.el5 from the base repo
It also installed (at least): gnome-bluetooth-libs.i386 0.7.0-10.2.el5
These show up in /var/log/yum.log
interestingly they do not show up in /var/log/rpmpkgs
My bluetooth mouse is now working. It was not before.
But I do not see any bluetooth management stuff in gnome
(http://live.gnome.org/BluetoothManager)

Sending files from mobile to CentOS via Bluetooth
Has anyone here managed to send files from a mobile phone to a CentOS
system via Bluetooth? I'm trying with a Samsung E1310, using the GNOME
tools, but can't get it to work. I can send files from the Linux box to
this phone using the Nautilus bluetooth plugin
(nautilus-sendto-bluetooth), and have also managed to "pull" some data

bluetooth audio and asterisk
Has anyone successfully used a standard bluetooth enabled system to
connect to a standard bluetooth enabled mobile phone (not the bluetooth
to FXS converters) to create an audio path for phone calls with
asterisk, if so is there a writeup on what was done so that others can
replicate this.
What I am thinking is that via alsa/oss/whatever you should be able to
use the bluetooth audio channel as a

Question for members on using OPUS with Bluetooth
Hi All;
This is my first post to the OPUS group but I would like to find out if anyone is using OPUS over Bluetooth? If so, I have some follow-up questions on the implementation strategies that have been used.
Is anyone using OPUS over A2DP? Is it possible for off-the-shelf OPUS bluetooth devices manufactured by different companies to be compatible with each other? If so, which A2DP Audio

[Bluez-devel] Re: [Bridge] bridging bluetooth bnep deviceswith kernel 2.6.6-*
The ifreq structure to br_dev_do_ioctl() gives you the interface index
(rq->ifr_ifindex) which is currently not being used.
May be it can help..

no sound with chan_mobile
I am new to Asterisk (1.4.5), and I am trying to get chan_mobile working.
My intention is to use it as a cheap GSM gateway.
In the dialplan I configured that all mobile numbers should go thru the
mobile channel. The current situation is that I can setup the call via the
mobile channel (bluetooth), but sound is still thru the bluetooth attached
phone's speaker and microphone.
I searched

I checked http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.kernel/22183/focus=22211,

I'm trying to use a mobile phone (ericsson W300i) with asterisk through
bluetooth. After some sutrggling, I foun chan_mobile.
As some one already used this mobile with what result?
I'm considering a simple asterisk system (for home use/test purpose) with :
- one SIP service provider (with link to PSTN)
- one SIP phone (a softphone on the asterisk box)
- one mobilephone (ericsson

Latest chan_mobile
Hello,
I recently updated my asterisk-addons-1.6.2 to the last revision and I have
this problem that I don't know how to interpret, bug or not. I connected a
Nokia N80 phone to use chan_mobile and everything works great until the
phone starts getting disconnected after the call finished and sometimes
during the call attempt.
Is this a bug or a possible known issue for Nokia phones?

chan_cellphone won't pair with phone
I'm running chan_cellphone version 13 on the latest svn trunk (as
root). I believe I have chan_cellphone set up correctly (bt addr and
port retrieved from the "cell search" CLI command). When I load the
chan_cellphone module, my Motorola V3m asks if I want to allow "Asterisk
PBX", I say yes and enter the 0000 for the pin, then my phone tells me
the pin is invalid. Here

What is connect-debounce wrt usb?
I get the following message on a Centos 5 system (really a Trixbox 2.4
build on Centos 5):
Jan 14 00:12:28 sip2 kernel: hub 1-0:1.0: connect-debounce failed, port

What does this mean?
This message occurs about 30 times/sec for about 45 sec. Then my
Bluetooth token starts up.

Hello all.
Does anyone know how to get bluetooth working on CentOS 5?
I can't pair any device. Things work perfectly on CentOS 4. Here is what
happens:
