rsync check by nagios NCSA
Hello everyone
I'm using rsync over ssh
rsync -ave ssh bla@bla.tld:/home /backup/server1
This works great for many years now
Now I'm playing with Nagios and NSCA but how can I detect if rsync has
done everything well.
nsca works simple

Nagios: Error: Service check command ... not defined anywhere!
Hello CentOS users,
I have problems posting the question below
to the Nagios mailing list (my subscription is
not accepted for some reason). Has anybody
of you already had this probably frequent
problem with Nagios in CentOS? I can''t use
check_squid from command-plugins.cfg (s. below)
Thank you for any hints

This is what I see about ssl if I just run nrpe on the client without any
flags:

Yep! Both hosts have nagios user accounts.
Demonstrating from the client:
[root at ops:~] #id nagios
uid=2002(nagios) gid=2002(nagios) groups=2002(nagios),2008(nagioscmd)
And this is from the monitoring server:

Thanks Tom. Development doldrums in another open source project
I, too, want to thank Tom for such a great software package and all the
support he has always given.
I was just reading a Slashdot interview with the Nagios/NetSaint author
Ethan Galstad. The whole article is interesting and I bet the questions
and answers would be similar for Shorewall:

Nagios check_asterisk_peers needs rights to question the Asterisk-server
When executing the following command :
[root at nagios ~]# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H ip_address -c
check_asterisk_peers
I get the following output :
NRPE: Unable to read output
Somewhere Nagios does not have enough rights to question Asterisk about
the sip peers.
These are the rights of the check_nrpe on the Nagios Server :
[root at nagios ~]# ls -l

installing Nagios client with selinux enabled
Hi, I''m new to Puppet so may be going about this completely the wrong
way, or perhaps it is an selinux problem rather than a Puppet problem.
I have a problem copying a file and changing the seltype. I don''t
think it is Nagios specific. Code is something like:

yum install nagios, adding dag repository
Hi,
I'm running an Opteron 64 bit server, and in an effort to re-join it to my
nagios monitoring, I have tried the install nagios via Yum.
When I type:
yum install nagios, or nagios-nrpe, or nagios-plugins, I get:
"Nothing to do". as output.
In wanting to add the DAG repository to my machine, the documentation i've
come across seems vague.
Can someone advise me on either of

After resuming more than once on battery these HP Ivybridge laptops, the XHCI devices stop working. Have anyone seen this before? I wanted to check before diving in deeper. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
Facts
- Xen 4.0.3, Linux 3.2.7 PVOPs
- Happens on HP Ivybridge. Doesn''t happen on very similar HP Sandybridge Clash system.

Nagios NRPE IPv6

Name : nagios-plugins-nrpe
Arch : x86_64
Version : 2.13
Release : 1.el6
Size : 38 k
Repo : installed
From repo : epel
To my dismay I noticed that this doesn't seem to support IPv6:
[ts at bombur ~]$ host galadriel.example.com
galadriel.example.com has IPv6 address 2001:db8:f004:8::32
