I may need a strong shot of coffee but I though putting "hide files = /~*/" as follows in the samba config file would hide files with a tilde. There are security updates upstream for CentOS (4 and 5) and it looks like the CentOS 5 ones have been rebuilt and rolled out. How come the CentOS 4 branch lags behind, or are the CentOS 5 devs different from the CentOS 4 devs? If more volunteers are needed I'm sure assistance could be offered by the CentOS community.
