DKIM Verification failures
Hi,
-- This message refers to the maillist itself rather than to dovecot
software --
I have noticed that when I post to this list (only), I get DKIM
Verification failure reports from:

for job 4D27B5DC4E on mail.sidefx.com")

dmarc report faild ?
In the same vein,
I am receiving forensic DMARC reports from mx01.nausch.org.
Whenever I send a message to the mailing list or when my server sends a
DMARC report, I'm getting a DMARC Forensic report.
It's odd, because the actual report tells me both DKIM and SPF (in the
the of a DMARC report) pass...
Here is what I am getting :

handling spam from gmail.
I am sick of this gmail spam. Does anyone know a solution where I can do
something like this:
1. received email from adcpni444 at gmail.com
2. system recognizes this email address has been 'whitelisted', continue
with 7.
3. system recognizes as this email never been seen before
4. auto reply with something like (maybe with a wait time of x hours):

DKIM Pass - Fail
Hi Dear Community Friends,
it is few days now, i am trying to figure out why DKIM is working / not
working. Any assistance would be very much appreciable.
Server IP is not blacklisted ever, MX, PTR SPF, DKIM records are available
in DNS. why it is working at Gmail, why failing at Yahoo?

SELinux policy for dkim-milter
Hello,
Does anyone have a sample SELinux policy for dkim-milter?
I'm using the configuration from this page:
http://www.howtoforge.com/set-up-dkim-for-multiple-domains-on-postfix-with-dkim-milter-2.8.x-centos-5.3
Along with the latest RPM from the link on that page.
Regards,
Ben

SMTPUTF8 support
Andr?, are you quite sure you have it working?
In this thread someone from Open-Xchange stated that no, Dovecot doesn?t
have SMTPUTF8 support implemented, and the same response was given by
another Dovecot developer last September (it ?is being considered? was
the answer then, see
https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2018-September/112887.html).
I am using LMTP to deliver mail to Dovecot from

OT: DMARC / DKIM Failure Reports
Hi guys,
when I send e-mails to CentOS mailing list <centos at centos.org>, I received DMARC / DKIM failure reports. Is it possible to solve this problem and if so how?
This is the first report:
This is an email abuse report for an email message received from IP 208.100.23.70 on Tue, 17 Sep 2019 15:56:25 +0200.
The message below did not meet the sending domain's DMARC policy.

dkim-milter-2.7.2 and Centos 5.2
I am trying to install dkim-milter-2.7.2 on a Centos 5.2 system and keep
getting the following errors.
I have very little experience in C programing so I am at a loss as how to proceed.
I have sendmail-devel installed
Here is the tail of the result output of

If I don't get swamp of errors with this email, I'll stop the From munging starting tomorrow. There is now ARC signing done for mails. Lets see how this works, if we can stop rewriting from I'll be happy.

Centos convert to rhel?
Hate to ask, but after reading the last few months of centos history online
I am worried.
And to learn the lead guy seems to have absconded with the cash and left all
the hard working devs high and dry..well that is scary.
They all worked so hard and who knows what will happen now.
If centos falls I have no choice but to go to redhat. I am wondering if the
conversion will be easy or a complete

my spammer list
Hello,
Thanks to some nice people on here and other forums I have pretty much
finalized my whole mail system on centos 6.x.
With all the checks, greylisting, dev/null of any 8+ spam level SA, I
still get a few mails.
It seems like everytime I enable a new protectant, the mail stops
spamming for a few hours...then the spammers decide I am worthy of using
better methods against me..and more

SV: handling spam from gmail.
I know it is not dovecot who should fix this. But anyone using dovecot
is using an MTA, and receiving spam ;) I know how to look at email
headers. Spf and dkim is not solving anything here.

hosting emails at home
Hello Mike,
Yes, I am using a static IP address, but in theory, you could use a
dynamic one.
Nothing technically would prevent email exchanges between two boxes, as
long as the SPF records are up to date and the DKIM is properly setup.
Unfortunately, some ISPs are simply blacklisting full range of private
IP addresses just because they are not officials / commercials.
Kind regards,
Andr?

reinventing the wheel? page checker
Not sure if there is an app like this yet.
I want to keep tabs on my web applications and thought of using a 'page
checker'/
I was thinking either running a sum on the directory or each file...but
thinking a simple date check would
be fine.
The idea is web application, except the uploads area for photos, never
has changes to its files except when I change it.

my notes on bond, bridge, network, kvm, host and virtual so far
I put this page together just so I won't spam the board anymore begging

This shows a working effort of bonded eths, bridged into a vm, and a few
other things.
The only missing thing is something on the host that ends up putting the
VM internet
connection into some kind of limbo.

[fdo] PSA: Mailman changes, From addresses no longer accurate
Hi all,
We have hit another step change in aggressive anti-spam techniques
from major mail providers. Over the past few days, we saw a huge spike
in the number of mails we were failing to deliver to GMail and
outlook.com in particular.
It looks like it is now no longer acceptable for us to break
DMARC/DKIM/SPF. These are DNS-based extensions to SMTP, which allow
