Bonding and network cards
Hi,
I have been playing this weekend with bonding on PCI netcards and found
that all of netcards I have, but old 3com, do not support MII. So
bonding is not going to happen with them. Do you have some pci netcards
supporting MII successfully running on bonging?
Thanks,
David Hrb??

I am unable to compile the zaptel drivers on the latest kernel for fc 3,
I get the following errors which are listed below if anyone has any
suggestions on how I can solve this issue aside from trying a different
distro, please don't hesitate to offer. Thanks in advance.

Experiencing continual eth0 link up/down on a 10G Chelsio NIC (cxgb3 driver)
File Server OS: CentOS 5.3 (x86_64)
Kernel: CentOS Plus kernel (need XFS fs drivers)
The file server has a Chelsio T310 10GBASE-CX4 RNIC (rev 3) PCI
Express x8 MSI-X (eth0), driver and firmware is stock from the CentOS
Plus kernel.
Using ethtool I have verified driver association with the 3 NICs on
the system (eth1 and eth2 are not connected to any switch)

difference in x86 64 bit centos between 4.x and 5.x versions
i am new to the x86 64 bit centos versions.
ive always used the 32 bit version on industrial type HP hardware
for those of you that are running x86 64 bit centos, other than specific
hardware issues, are you finding that 5.x centos is better than 4.x centos
for x86 64 bit processing?
does it matter in the amd vrs intel hardware differences what you choose to
use for centos version?

What have I done wrong?
Hi,
I'm new to both this list and to openssh. I just downloaded 2.9.9 and did ./configure ; make ; make install. Everything was OK, no errors. But I must have done something wrong. Because after I started the sshd daemon, I can only connect with the "root" user. I have done ssh-keygen on other users but they do not work...
I'm running Linux. I havent changed any configurations.

bryan, did you say that in your experience the /var partition should _not_
be on the extended partition table for "recovery" purposes?

4.7 update issues?
Greets,
Thank you to all the CentOS team and supporters.
:-)
Just wondering though...
Any 4.7 update issues or horror stories yet?
Also, anyone that has upstream support and previously updated, any issues
for Internet facing, or other, production machines ?

Asterisk 1.2.0 fails to hang up using SIP
Greetings all,
I just installed the beta now my SIP phone doesn't correctly hang up and
clear trunks once the call is answered.
First one is fine because it didn't answer on the far end. The second
one stayed connected.

CentOS on Compaq Proliant Rackmount Servers
Greetings,
Can anyone relate experience(s) installing CentOS on Compaq rack mount
servers units please?
Easy no problem, easy some issues, or ghastly do not do it under any
circumstances... ;)
Basically, I'm looking at some used/refurb dual PIII units and will run RAID
on Compaq built in SCSI or is it easy to pop in some 3ware SATA in them?
Let me know in terms of CentOS 3 and/or 4 please.

pointers for using CentOS box as filter for children
greetings
has anyone here setup a CentOS box to use as a home or business gateway for
children through young adults or otherwise?
i realize this is a generalized question and that iptables and many other
things exist that could be implemented.
im looking for a way to give the youngster the benefit of the doubt and
allow them to "obey God/parents" first before they have to be totally
