Bug report: Live migration errors
Hi list, The bug reporting guide in the wiki mentions we should notify the - devel list when reporting a new bug, so I just wanted to bring some attention to: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1328 I''d reported another bug myself (http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1332 ) and marked it as a duplicate of the one above as they seem to be the

OpenIPMI on a SunFire v20z
Hi all, New to the list and (mostly) new to CentOS. We have just moved from running RHEL to CentOS on our main production servers. Anyway, I am configuring a couple of new SunFire v20z servers here at the moment and trying to get the systems' management interfaces to work fully under CentOS. First issue was trying to install the openipmi RPM from the CD that came with the SunFires, this RPM

Dropouts and echo
Hi all, We have recently implemented an Asterisk system using Trixbox (asterisk v1.4.4 at the moment, yet to move to 1.4.9) but are getting pressure to switch back to our old key system unless we fix two major issues. So please help me avoid switching back! An overview: We have about 12 Linksys SPA941 SIP phones connected on a private switched network to our asterisk box which is a

Queue Breakout Input being Ignored
Hello, Raw stats: Version:1.8.3.2 OS:Centos 5.6 Special setup: postgre database I am having a few queue issues with Asterisk specifically relating to breaking out from queues while on hold. The intent is that while someone is on hold they can press a key (lets say *) to break from the queue and go elsewhere (in this case to leave a message). However In all of my testing I am unable to get

Linux PV Drivers - VBD device not loading - Cannot get Major 3/22 for ide
I am trying to get PV drivers running on both Centos 5.1 and Centos 5.3 HVMs, my DomU is Centos 5.2 with Xen 3.31. For 5.1 I install the kmod-xenpv RPM but for 5.3 the drivers seem to be built-in. For the network drivers to work I had to unload the Realtek NIC driver and renamed its .ko files to stop it loading. Adding the Xen-Vnif alias to modprobe.conf then got the PV NICs working nicely (Much

Samba corrupting files
Hi all, We use samba here at our site as an interop solution for use with ClearCase. I'm afraid I'm just a lowly ClearCase administrator not a Unix administrator. All our solaris servers are running Solaris 8 and we're using Samba version 2.2.2 First Question : Our Unix Admin guy has said that we can't upgrade our version of Samba as 2.2.2 is the latest version that Sun have

best way to ensure (yum) package repository freshness ?
Hello, I have run into problems in the past where a package has been added to our yum repository, and a (new) class has been pushed to install that package, but puppet fails because the yum db on the target machine is too stale, and thus isn''t aware of the existence of the new package. My question is this : what have other Puppet admins done in order to ensure that a target machine

php-pear missing from 5.8 (i386) metadata?
Hi, # yum install php-pear <snip> No package php-pear available. Nothing to do This is on CentOS 5.8 (i386). The package is available for both archs on the two mirrors I checked. I also tried a # yum clean headers # yum clean metadata # yum clean dbcache to no avail. Am I missing something or is it the metadata? Single ringer phone for incoming calls, that anyone can answer
Hi list, Does anyone have any advice on the following: Incoming calls to our office come in on a SIP trunk. Since all our offices/desks are in close proximity, we would like just a single phone to ring when a call comes in instead of ringing every person's phone. Currently we've got this working by having all the phones in a callgroup/pickupgroup and incoming calls ring the

it work with just the main ringing phone and not have it pickup the rest of the phones in your group. Python/sqlite date time problems.
Bear with me, this is CentOS related. :) I have a python CGI that's behaving weirldy on Whitebox systems that've been switched over to CentOS 4 (ages ago, no other problems to speak of aside from this one). I've broken the problem down to a minimal test case... 1. Create a small database # sqlite3 /tmp/testcase.db 'CREATE TABLE testtable ( date date primary key unique, name
