Is there a way to use kvm-amd on centos 5.1? I dont want to mess with XEN. I want the hardware virtualization that is on my AMD chip. I played with putting 2.6.24 and centos 5.1 on my AMD laptop, got kvm-amd and that works. However I want to put this on my desktop that is running 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5. Is there a way or do I just wave to use 2.6.24 or 25. Thanks, Jerry

Gents, I can compile mplayer on centos 4.5 AMD 64 in native 64 bit mode and it plays the dvd, and also compile for 32 bit mode "gcc -m32" on it also plays the dvd. "mplayer dvd://1". I can compile mplayer on centos 5 AMD 64 in native 64 bit mode and it plays the dvd. However, when I compile in 32 bit on AMD 64 centos 5 I cannot play the dvd. I get: Playing dvd://1 File

Any one using vnc server on centos 5.1? on 4.6 I had no issue. on 5.1 I am having times when on connetion the VNC serveris crashing and logs me out of all my open'ed items. I can relog in. But I was wondering if others are seeing this and if there is something to do about it. THanks, Jerry

I am running a virtual machine with kvm-72. my virtual machine is address 10.0.2.15 it has access to the network and all that. How can I have my host be able to copy a file FROM the guest??? my guest can copy files to the host but I would like to do the other way... My host has address 192.168.1.8. To continue here with problems on this compaq v2000 laptop, I put kernel source on a USB disk and plugged it into the v2000. NOTHING IS recognized.
