Problems with scsi-target-utils when hosted on dom0 centos 7 xen box
By natively, I take it using kernel /vmlinuz (vs kernel /xen) Not yet, but working on setting up such an environment. (At this time, I was using virt-install to reproduce the problem, and the original server we are testing on did not support kvm but the 2nd server does). NFS issues
So I'm running nfs to get content to my web servers. Now I've had this problem 2 times (about 2 weeks since the last occurrence). I use drbd on the nfs server for redundancy. Documentation file for ifcfg options
Sometime in the past two weeks, Some kind person pointed me to a GREAT document file that explained all those commands you find in the ifcfg-* files and the network file (and others, I believe). It was a great help to me, and now I need it again, and I did not write down the file location, nor can I find that original note. My bad, I am busy documenting everything I can now. But I really

40 second delay on automounts with 2.6.18-53.1.21.el5 kernel
after this latest centos 5 kernel update, i am seeing 40 second delays on automount points. nothing in the rpm changelog looks obviously related to autofs and the autofs module seems to be the same as the previous kernel. i'm starting to do some strace'ing and other debugging, but nothing has jumped out at me yet. i'm hoping someone else has seen it so i know i'm not alone

Can't find repository for centosplus
While trying to get my SD card reader to work with CentOS, it was recommended to me that I update to the centosplus kernel. I attempted to do so using yum, as was recommended, but I encountered the following error: [root at localhost ~]# yum --enablerepo=centosplus update kernel Repository update already added, not adding again Error getting repository data for centosplus, repository not

Small correction in CentOSPlus (AdditionalResources/Repositories/CentOSPlus)
Hi, Small correction there. Example 4 of section 2 (how to use XFS with CentOSPlus kernel) says you should use this configuration line in [centosplus] section of yum: includepkgs=kernel* xfs* dmapi* However, the XFS module's package name is kmod-xfs*, so I believe it should actually be: includepkgs=kernel* kmod-xfs* xfs* dmapi* I did this on a system of mine, and in the first case it did

centos 5 2.6.18-53.1.21.el5 kernel and ipsec
i had previously been having issues with automount being slow with this new kernel and i tracked it down to dns delays which were being caused by ipsec not working. i have spent a few hours poking around and ipsec seems quite broken with this new kernel. esp packets go in and out just fine, but when i look at ip xfrm stats on the machine with the new kernel, i see that for input packets,

[CSL #301925] centosplus kernel xfs patches and CVE-2006-1855
Hi All, we've run into a problem with the xfs component in the centosplus kernel (2.6.9-34.106.unsupportedsmp) where synchronous writes sometimes fail with EAGAIN. It's causing headaches for DB2 installs and for our database research group. There is a fix reported at: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-xfs&m=110808122904352&w=2 ...that's supposed to take care of

centosplus + priority plugin
I have a Centos 4 box that has been updated all the way to 4.6 without using the centosplus repository. Now I want to use the centosplus repository for Centos 4 to get the latest LAMP, mod_perl, perl and other perl modules so that I can install rt 3.6.6 and its necessary modules. However, for some reason, the latest perl package in the centosplus repository does not appear on the radar when

centosplus kernel
Just for the record, we are currently working with someone from SGI to get a much better implementation of XFS working with the centosplus kernel. I want to wait to push the centosplus unsupported kernel (2.6.9-22) until we have this new and much more stable version of XFS code implemented. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... xfs and centosplus kernel
I read that XFS has problems with 4K Stack size for Linux on 32-bit systems. How did we address this in the centosplus kernel? Since what release of CentOS was this problem resolved? Is there a quick way to know what size the Linux stack is configured to be in a system's that's running? Thanks for your help. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
