Need help getting roaming profiles to work
Hi!
First, let me apologize for the length of this message. I wanted to
include as much relevant info as I could and it got a bit lengthy.
For reasons that I won't bother to detail here, I ended up
volunteering to upgrade the server at my kids school. It's a small
private school with an all-volunteer tech support staff (me!). We
currently have about 40 computers serving about 150 people.

question on mplayer playing dvd amd 64 on centos 5
Gents,
I can compile mplayer on centos 4.5 AMD 64 in native 64 bit mode and it
plays the dvd,
and also compile for 32 bit mode "gcc -m32" on it also plays the dvd.
"mplayer dvd://1".
I can compile mplayer on centos 5 AMD 64 in native 64 bit mode and it
plays the dvd.
However, when I compile in 32 bit on AMD 64 centos 5 I cannot play the dvd.
I get:

centos 5 with mplayer and xv driver
Hi all
I am trying to get mplayer working on centos 5.
On centos 4.X I just did a ./configure and make and make install for
mplayer.... Can use prepaged mplayer for other reasons.
anyway, when I play a video I cannot get it to use the xv driver
(acceleated video).
What package might I be missing or not installed to get the xv driver ???
I am using the binary nvidia drivers (latest version).

PATCH to support theora-exp in mplayer
attached patch adds support for the experimental theora branch
to mplayer. you can get theora-exp from svn:
svn co http://svn.xiph.org/experimental/derf/theora-exp/
The decoder here is feature-complete,
up to and including all planned bitstream features for the initial Theora release.
Some of these are not yet present even in the reference decoder.
These include:

mplayer + libtheora on a PS3
Hello,
I'm trying to get mplayer and theora to work nicely on a PS3,
preferrably without making stuff use the SPEs. It plays mpeg4 just fine
using only the PPE, but with theora (or theora-oil), the machine is too
slow. Anyone have any experience of this or any ideas?

Mplayer and VDPAU
Does anyone here know if the mplayer from rpmfusion
(mplayer-1.0-0.41.svn20090711.el5.rf) was compiled with VDPAU support?
I've looked on the mplayer web site and it says you can use vdpau, but it
doesn't say HOW. Would that be with something like "-vo vdpau" ??
Thanks!

firefox and mplayer failures
Does anyone else have problems with playing video/audio files under
firefox with mplayer? Almost everything I try (the latest were some
.asf and .wmv clips) craps out under firefox, but if I save to disk
and play with mplayer, they work just fine.
CentOS 4.1 with latest updates and the following related to the problem.
mplayer-fonts-1.1-3.0.rf
mplayerplug-in-3.11-1.2.el4.rf

Video plugin and patched MPlayer
Hi,
I'm using compiz-fusion 0.5.4 on openSUSE 10.3 with Xgl and intel 855GM video
card.
I've patched and compiled (or so I thought) MPlayer1.0rc2, but I can't see no
difference... How can I confirm that it's compiled correctly and how can I
check that it actually does work?

Odd question here but if I have asterisk running on PC (and mplayer
installed).

played on mplayer?
If so how do I do that?
How can asterisk pipe the video into mplayer so as to display the video

yum repository for Mplayer and Codecs?
Good morning,
I've looked around a bit for a yum repository
for Mplayer with all of the codecs. Does anyone
know of a repository? (I admit I'm being a little
lazy this morning :) ).
Thanks!
