[GIT PULL] devel/pat + devel/kms.fixes-0.5
Hey Jeremy, Please pull from devel/pat (based off your xen/dom0/core tree) which has one patch: Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk (1): xen/pat: make pte_flags(x) a pvops function. which is neccessary for the drivers/gpu/drm/radeon driver to work properly with AGP based cards (which look to be the only ones that try to set WC on pages). Also please pull from devel/kms.fixes-05 (based off your

Installing Xen4.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS issues (VGA crashes at boot-up)
Hey Guys ! I am trying to install Xen 4.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on a 64-bit machine. Basically the issue that I am facing is that when I try to boot up my Domain0, my video display driver crashes and the system simply hangs. I am using an Intel graphics card: $ lspci -v | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) I

Accessing console for Xen 4.0 with 2.6.31 pvops kernel on Dell Poweredge R610
I am currently using a Dell PowerEdge server R610 with Xen 4.0 installed and the 2.6.31.13 pvops kernel. I am accessing the server console using the iDRAC KVM feature of the dell management console. Does anyone know how to configure the console option in the grub menu so that all the boot messages can be seen on the mgmt console? Currently I can view only the Xen bootup messages if I dont specify

X11 on AMD64 with Xen 4.0.0 and new pvops kernel - no X11
Dear All, I am currently trying out Xen 4.0.0 with Ubuntu Lucid as Dom 0 with a pv ps kernel, and I can get it to boot and run lucid as dom0 perfectly well in console mode, however, I am unable to start X11. Looking here I can see there are problems with pvops kernels and X11. http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenPVOPSDRM . Would a summary of the page http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenPVOPSDRM

Installing Centos 7 on 4K laptop
Hello, not sure what you mean by "There is an option to use TAB to complete option choices but nomodeset does not seem to be one of the available options" but in my experience nomodeset option works pretty well when put to grub boot parameters. Installing Centos 7 on 4K laptop
I have recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7570 laptop with a 4K display on which I want to install Centos 7. I had some problems with the first install and am therefore redoing the install. One problem is the minuscule font, both in the text window and in the graphic installer. It has been suggested that I should add nomodeset to the grub installer. There is an option to use TAB to complete

nouveau freezing desktop - Ubuntu 24.04 - NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
Hello, I recently installed Ubuntu 24.04 on a MacBook Pro (Mid-2010) running a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M adapter. Unfortunately the computer is constantly freezing. If I pass "nomodeset" to grub, the nouveau driver is not used and the computer does not freeze so it seems to be related to the nouveau driver. I am wanting to know if there are any parameters I can pass to nouveau to
