How exactly would the existing packages be re-used ? The resulting binary of PV Grub will not be run on the Dom0, it is cross compiled to run as a stub domain under the hypervisor directly and it will not have access to the dom0 at that point so I don't see how you'd re-use the packages installed on the dom0. For one thing, It should make it easier to boot an OS on a partitioned block device, pygrub can't do that unless you probe the paritions first and make then visible on Dom0 - a hassle. Hey everyone, I have a question about vif-common.sh. I run multiple bridges attached on dummy interfaces, which allow me to put guests in seperate subnets (routed through the dom0). As you might expect I already have quite extensive iptables scripts to accomidate this kind of routing.
