Bug#588839: Include pv-grub to securely boot guest kernels
How exactly would the existing packages be re-used ? The resulting binary of PV Grub will not be run on the Dom0, it is cross compiled to run as a stub domain under the hypervisor directly and it will not have access to the dom0 at that point so I don't see how you'd re-use the packages installed on the dom0. Cheers, Sylvain

Bug#588839: Include pv-grub to securely boot guest kernels
Hi, is anyone still working on this? Are there unofficial packages somewhere? I find it disappointing that no solution has been found in three years. /me sighs and reads the build-it-yourself instructions. DomU clock out of sync
Hey all, I was watching some logs on a domU today and i suddenly noticed that the timestamps were off by something on the order of 47 seconds. I was surprised because *I don''t* run independent wall clocks. I checked some other domUs and the "drift" was also very close to that of the first domU. I also checked another dom0, Here the domUs were "only" out of sync by

Bug#588839: pv-grub removed ?
When will we see progress on this? pvgrub is the newer and better thing, and it's the only way to do many things. For one thing, It should make it easier to boot an OS on a partitioned block device, pygrub can't do that unless you probe the paritions first and make then visible on Dom0 - a hassle. Otherwise, it would just simply do what real GRUB can really do. I would really like to

Bug#588839: Bug#588839: pv-grub removed ?
pv-grub is also the best/only way to run hurd under xen: http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/microkernel/mach/gnumach/ports/xen.html#index4h1 it's also the best way by far to run netbsd without a separate /boot Cheers, Brian Szymanski -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... vif-common.sh and iptables
Hey everyone, I have a question about vif-common.sh. I run multiple bridges attached on dummy interfaces, which allow me to put guests in seperate subnets (routed through the dom0). As you might expect I already have quite extensive iptables scripts to accomidate this kind of routing. I was just hoping someone on this list can confirm, that I understand what the iptables lines in vif-common.sh

Need to pick your brain for recommendation on using 2.5" or 3.5" HDDs for Asterisk server...
Hi Everyone, I am stack between two identical systems (2U Twin2, 4 nodes, SuperMicro) servers that have the same exact specs except for HDDs. These nodes will all either have Asterisk installed with CentOS or will have Asterisk install in virtual environment. Option 1: *12* x 3.5" HDD (3 HDDs per node) Option 2: *24* x 2.5" HDD (6 HDDs per node) **both options come to the same price.

reassign 588839 to src:xen
reassign 588839 src:xen 4.0.1~rc3-1 block 588839 759018 thanks I think this request has been largely obsoleted by the Xen support which is available natively in grub2. The binaries are available in Jessie in a slightly do-it-yourself fashion but the version of grub2 in NEW (2.02~beta2-16) makes this all a lot more userfriendly by implementing the upstream pv bootloader chainloading protocol

how to limit the calls leaving a queue?
Hi, I explain what I want to do.. All the operators share their phones. The number of the operator isn't constant, so it's possible that two operators share all the phones. They need to move all around, so they pick up the first phone they find. If there are only few operator is very annoying for them to ear the other phones ringing while they are at the phone! So I'dd like to limit

Sweaving single master file to get multiple individualised reports
Hi Apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious. I have read the Sweave manual, the first article in R News, looked at the Help pages, googled Sweave and words like loop, output, files, multiple, done much the same on R site search (in case I missed something on Google) and I couldn't find exactly what I'm after. Paste and namespace
Hi, my doubt is very simple. I'm sure I've seen someone using something like this before, but unfortunatelly my searches in the archives were useless. Well, I have some objects called after a name that has a number attached to it, varying. Let's say I have: > ls poly1 poly2 poly3 poly4 poly5 poly6 ... I would like to access these objects using a for(), in which I could do

CRAN, install packages problem on networked PC
Dear List, I have a problem connecting to a CRAN mirror through a networked computer running Vista Enterprise on a Dell PC.
