help with module to boot Windows CE
Hello! I work for O.S. Systems with Otavio Salvador. We are trying to build a module for syslinux to boot a Windows CE 6.0 image. The basic stuff is: we need to load a Windows CE image and jump to its entry point. The Windows CE image file (nk.bin) has its entry point is stored on a variable location. The first 15 bytes of the file are the image header. The following bytes are a contiguous list

vmplayer on xen guest
Hi! I need to install vmplayer on Xen guest with centos4.4. When I run vmplayer-config.pl I have problems with inserting vmmon module in kernel. The dmesg shows this message vmmon: Unknown symbol xen_features I read on the forums that vmware is not running on Xen. What I am wondering is if this affirmation refers also to vmplayer and if not how can I skip this problem? Thanks in advance!

[PATCH] Enable Core 2 Duo Performance Counters in HVM guest
Hi, Keir, Currently, HVM guests do not have access to performance counters. So it is not possible to use performance analyzer software such as vtune in HVM guest to analyze programme performance. Other usage of performance counters , for example, the NMI watchdog, won''t function either. This patch will enable performance counters in HVM guest. Currently, only Core 2 Duo is implemented.

The machine was a dual-Opteron dual-core, with 8GB RAM and 1 300GB SATA disk. Normally I tend to use Debian on my servers, but due to lack of needed hardware support on Debian x86_64 images, and because I had very few time to run the tests, I used an

No Full Virtualisation with Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 Mobile CPU?
Hello, I have some interesting issue with Intel VT CPU and XEN 3.0.2: I''m running XEN 3.0.2 on a MSI Fuzzy 945GM2 Mainboard (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/ic/ic_detail.php?prod_no=4) with a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPU (T5500). When booting the mainboard BIOS says it found a EM64T CPU, which is AFAIK the code for a Intel CPU with Virtualisation Technologie. But whether Linux
