Fix broken systemd integration in the build system
Hi Michal, I'm finally back on systemd integration with NUT. I've cc'ed Stanislav, since I've heard Suse is moving to systemd too. I've been investigation on your systemd integration in the tree, found a strange integration and understood why. I've fixed this with 2 commits: - r3528: only generate .in from configure, thus removing this annoying autoreconf msg - r3529:

Why libnetfilter_queue is missing from CentOS, but available in, Fedora?
I am asking this on behalf of the HIPL developers; http://infrahip.hiit.fi/ https://launchpad.net/hipl They have been working on getting their code consistant to the new libnetfilter architecture. Finally have Fedora 18 and 19 available, but have hit a stumbling block with Centos 6. They tell me they are not finding libnetfilter_queue. Here is their message to me: On 08/08/2013 02:03 PM,

nut-scanner pthread issue
Hi, the terminating part of nut-scanner can crash in pthread code, because some threads won't exist. For example snmp part: ============================== if( allow_snmp && nutscan_avail_snmp ) { if( start_ip == NULL ) { printq(quiet,"No start IP, skipping SNMP\n"); } else { printq(quiet,"Scanning SNMP bus.\n"); #ifdef HAVE_PTHREAD if(

[PATCH]recent change in udev rules is not complete
Hi, seems there is one missing change in /trunk/scripts/udev/nut-usbups.rules.in BUS -> SUBSYSTEMS previous change [1] missed this. Now, the latest udev started to complain: > ... udevd[31526]: BUS= will be removed in a future udev version ... 098 udev version (from 2006) is required for this [2], but this is the same version as required for previous SYSFS -> ATTR change. Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r879 - in trunk: . drivers
Julius: I just realized after committing Michal's patch that you have a more comprehensive patch on the tracker that approaches this piece of code differently. We can go ahead and apply the following patch to the trunk if you still think it's relevant: https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=303719&group_id=30602&atid=411544 If you have a newer version of

[RFC/PREVIEW] Move apcsmart driver to canonical processing + minor stuff
Inital tests with two apc units (2005 and pre-2000) seem to go well. See commit message for details. Announce: new team member (to work on Mozilla NSS port)
Dear fellows, As you have probably seen, NUT has had a recent boost through the help of Eaton. Frederic Bohe (contractor for Eaton France) has worked on Augeas, and is now working the Windows port. Chetan Agarwal, seconded by Prashi Gandi (both from Eaton India) are working on XCP and quality / validation related projects. I'm now pleased to announce that Emilien Kia (contractor for Eaton

/sbin/upsdrvctl unable to shutdown UPS due to (unmounted) shared library
Hi, /sbin/upsdrvctl is used as the near final step in /etc/init.d/halt to command the UPS to shut down power to the computer. On Fedora / Red Hat Enterprise Linux system, /usr can reside on its own partition. Drivers are linked to several libraries, but some of them lives in /usr/lib and this can be umounted when drivers are used. There are 16 libraries used on Fedora 11 system. This

libusb usage

apcsmart: doesn't detect missing battery on Smart-UPS 2200 RM
Michal, I ran across this Debian bug today: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=707223 It's a bit of a corner case, and it's for NUT 2.6.4 (apcsmart driver v3.04), but I was wondering if it was still applicable for the latest code? "nut reports 100% battery charge after unplugging the battery on a Smart-UPS 2200 RM (SUA2200RMI2U) using apcsmart. Powerchute correctly
