Patch for the bestfortress driver 0.02
I could not make the bestfortress driver 0.02 work for my Best Fortress LI675VA, so I have made a patch for the driver. The reason was, that all responses are preceded and terminated by CR LF, but the driver would discard everything after the first CR LF. The following patch discards everything up to the first LF. It also adds a debugging feature of displaying the accepted data (level 5 i.e. -D

2012/2/6 thomas schorpp <thomas.schorpp at googlemail.com>: > Hi, Hi Thomas, > I want the driver report the battery status from ABM charging controllers > -patch attached- : thanks for your patch. since it introduces a new variable (battery.status.abm), I prefer to step back and think to something useful more widely. thus, I'm thinking about a generic

patch: Replace many usleep and some sleep calls with nanosleep
Description: Replace many usleep and some sleep calls with nanosleep. usleep is stated in its manual page as removed by POSIX. Contrary to its predecessors, nanosleep semantics is well defined. The replacement, which is mostly in drivers, is untested. Supplements http://bugs.debian.org/633791. Last-Update: Sat, 13 Aug 2011 14:04:48 +0300 Index:

RFC: new variable battery.status
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!!! There was a smaller patch posted to the list for lines -1389,9 +1390,10 a couple years ago, it helped some - BUT - it was still buggy. I have a Compaq R3000, I will get this patch integrated pronto and test Note that since the UPS relies on the voltage from the battery pack to determine state of charge, it is quite useful to add in the battery pack

XCP Debi an - ISCSI support?
I have Kronos setup fine. I have installed open-iscsi and setup the system as an initiator. However, I cannot seem to get xapi to allow me to setup the target as an SR. I was trying to use XenCenter but go nowhere. So I tried adding it manually and here is what I got: xe sr-create host-uuid=466aac75-c86a-496f-90e8-2a9925a9e9f7 content-type=user \ > name-label="Shared LVM over iSCSI

Problem importing virtual disk
Hi. Let me know if I should be reporting this elsewhere for reasons that I''m about to detail below. I''m fiddling with Xen 4.1.1 on Debian squeeze running kernel 3.0. I was really exciting about the Kronos project bringing the API to Debian/Ubuntu so I thought I''d give it a try. I''m find myself facing a number of challenges working with a local lvm based SR.

[RFC] Updates to ACP smart driver
This patch introduces a handful of new options, I mentioned earlier in: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02088.html See the large commit message in the follow-up for the details and rationale. I realize it's a bit larger diff - so if it's required I can split it into few smaller ones. Michal Soltys (1): APC smart driver update and new features.

Update on NUT 2.4 roadmap
I finally took some time to lay down a consolidated roadmap to the next major milestone (2.4), and some update on this. 1) new documentation (User and Developer Manuals) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the biggest change for 2.4. New snmp-ups subdriver for Huawei
Hi, the diff inline below adds a new subdriver for snmp-ups to support Huawei UPS, based on an observed walk from a UPS5000-E with a few bits filled in from the MIBs (copy at http://junkpile.org/HUAWEI_UPS_MIB/). Sample output from upsc follows the diff. cheers, Stuart diff --git a/data/driver.list.in b/data/driver.list.in index a0e82fb..fac3d5a 100644 --- a/data/driver.list.in +++

[RFC apcsmart V3 00/18] apcsmart driver updates
Sorry for a bit longer delay than I anticipated, I was stuffed with the work. This is the next iteration of the patch adding some functionality to apcsmart driver, and relying on 'ignorelb' recently added. Follow up from previous thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02331.html Main differences is that V3 is split into many small patches, so the

This is 2nd version of the earlier patch featuring a few new features and fixes to the apcsmart driver, following the remarks in: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02294.html Major changes from v1: - handle battery.charge and battery.runtime checks at main.c level - handle "immutable but writable" conflict gracefully at driver level -

newhidups, usb permissions and Debian
Hi all, I've tried installing NUT from both the Debian packages and the 2.0.4-pre1 source but I'm unable to sort out the USB permissions when using the newhidups driver and an APC XS series UPS. In each case, I'm able to run newhidups as user root but running it as user nut fails: --- as 'nut' # /lib/nut/newhidups -u nut -a apc1 Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28

megatec over USB - new driver patch
Hello, all. Some time ago I bought myself a UPS which was advertised as USB-HID. It was a surprise to learn that while it definitely is recognized as USB device, the HID descriptor has no UPS pages at all. The only software it came with was a windows program written in visual basic. Trying to research this topic I found a reference to energizer USB ups driver and learned about variety of
