Unknown product ID for Tripp-Lite UPS (SU1500RTXL2UA)
To all, I attempted to configure the UPS tools for the Tripp-Lite SmartOnline 1500VA 2U rackmount UPS. I followed the instructions from the 'upsdrvctl start' output and posted the diagnostic information below. Is my UPS using an unknown product ID as reported? From the mailing list archive, I have found another posting for the same UPS with device model '09AE/4003', whereas

TrippLite SU3000XLCD
I'm having trouble with a TrippLite SU3000XLCD. I'm using a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian (wheezy) with NUT 2.6.4. I can monitor my older TrippLite UPSs, mostly SU1000RT2Us, with this Pi and a USB to serial adapter. My first thought with the SU3000XLCD was to use the USB port instead of the serial port as that's the "modern" thing to do. When I plugged the USB cable in

Tripplite Smart1500SLT configuration?
I'm read through the archives trying to figure out how to get a Tripplite SmartPro SLT 1500 configured with NUT using the USB interface (it also has a serial interface but I'd rather not). The thread which this link belonged to seemed most instructive: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2007-January/001656.html and I followed it as best I could. I'm running a

TrippLite USB UPS
Good afternoon, I am trying to communicate with a new Tripp-Lite UPS via usb and having little luck. After more than a week on this I've decided to ask for help. I am very inexperienced at posting information to message boards, so hopefully I'm doing this right. I assume this is the correct place to post this message. I will start with the equipment I have. I am using Debian Sarge

upgrade broke XP workstation logins, variably
Help please, a file server was upgraded from: Mandriva 2007.1, Samba 3.0.24-2.7mdv2007.1 to Mandriva 2008.1, Samba 3.0.28a-2.1mdv2008.1 and it broke something badly. After the upgrade logins from all XP workstations broke - some of the time. For an existing account (one with a profile already in the home directory) sometimes it will login normally. Well, almost normally, it never seems

Multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis
Dear R-users, Has anyone written a function for multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis? The "fractal" package does mono-fractal DFA, but not multifractal as far as I can tell. The MF-DFA approach is presented in: J. W. Kantelhardt, S. Zschiegner, E. Koscielny-Bunde, S. Havlin, A. Bunde, and H. E. Stanley, "Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis of

Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (fractal pkg) troubleshooting
I'm working with the DFA (detrended fluctuation analysis) function in the package fractal on postural sway data, and for the life of me can't get the results to turn out as they should given what my data looks like. The data resemble a random walk, but the Hurst exponent estimates that I'm getting at ~0.9 instead of ~1.4, which is the value a researcher I've been working with

Detrended Fluctuation Analysis
Good afternoon, my name is Gorka Merino and i am a scientist working in the Marine Science Institune in Barcelone. I'm interested in the application of "Detrended Fluctuation Analysis" (DFA) with the R packages. I've tried to obtain some information related to DFA from the 'Help' options but failed. Could somebody inform me about the use of these techniques in R

Detrended fluctuation analysis
Hi All I was using the DFA() in the fractal package to examine a set of time series data. And I was not sure what the H estimate meant from the summary table. is it the alpha of the power law equation?

method to simulate domain logon from a node?
I recently ran into a situation where a Samba upgrade apparently broke the machine records in the smbpasswd file, with the resulting symptom that domain logons on those computers would fail about 95% of the time. (A very strange symptom, how it worked sometimes is still a mystery to me.) Similarly, this would fail: % smbclient -L saf01 -U 'saf/mathog%(password)' session setup failed:

[PATCH] Btrfs: improve the performance fluctuating of the fsync
In order to improve the performance of fsync, we use the outstanding ordered extents to avoid looking up the checksum from the csum tree. But we didn''t filter out the ordered extents whose csum is still being calculated, when we got those ordered extents, we had to wait for the csum calculation. It made the performance dropped down suddenly. (On my box, it drop down from 56MB/s to

vectorize an expression

I just can't think of the vectorized equivalent of: for (ii in 1:n) aa[ii] = bb[ii,cc[ii]] Any suggestion received with embarrassment and gratitude Simon Gatehouse CSIRO Exploration and Mining, Newbigin Close off Julius Ave North Ryde, NSW Mail: PO Box 136, North Ryde NSW 1670, Australia
