Megatec_USB on OpenBSD 4.3 - no input interrupt endpoint
Hi!
I am trying to get an Atlantis-Land 1501 UPS to work under OpenBSD.
The UPS works OK under Linux + megatec_usb driver+nut_2.2.2.
What I get under OpenBSD is:

Plexus UPS 1000V - megatec_usb
Hi,
Just purchashed this UPS.
The megatec_usb driver appears to be communicating with the UPS -
however, the ups.status field always states "off"

megatec_usb
Hoi all,
First of all thanks for all the great work on NUT.
I have two identical Socomec UPS Netys 1000PE. One is connected to an
Ubuntu Hardy 64bit system and is detected just fine by the driver
(v1.5.9), see below. The other one is connected to a Debian Etch 32bit
system and is not detected by the driver (v1.5.9), see below.
Would you have any idea how I could further debug this issue? Could

Unsupported UPS using megatec_usb
Hey all, thanks for your work on nut. I recently got myself a new cheap UPS, and have thus far determined very little about it. I can run whatever you
like to help identify and work with it. So far I've played around with various settings and have had some limited success with the megatec_usb driver
(Debian testing version):

megatec_usb vs Mustek NetGuard / Ippon SmartWinner problem
Greetings Gentlemen,
I have Mustek NetGuard 1000 UPS which is equivalent to Ippon SmartWinner
1000.
I have tried to run several latest builds of NUT, but run megatec_usb driver
still failed with my device.
I hope the information below might help.
Regards,
Oleg

Unitek UPS 1250xD - megatec_usb driver
Hi All,
I am a newcomer to Nut, so firstly hello :-)
I am keen to implement Nut and have been digging around most of the

I have now managed to get nut installed (from source 2.2.0) and have
(I think) success. I found a post here:

Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
Hi,
a few days ago, I bought some of those Mustek UPSes
that have both a serial and a USB connector.
Currently only the serial port is supported by
the megatec driver. This works fine so far.
Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver,
which currently only supports 2 other UPSes.
How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust
might actually work with the megatec_usb driver?

nut and megatec_usb
ut 2.4.1 works with megatec_usb driver. It tries to interact with a
device in /dev/bus/usb/X/Y, but there are root:root 664 access rights.
When I try to set port /dev/hiddev0 with write access in config
file, in strace there are no records about accessing /dev/hiddev, but
still only /dev/bus/usb/X/Y
How to explain such a behavior?

Megatec_USB on OpenBSD 4.3 - again...
Hello again!
Thanks to the precious help from Henning Brauer, I managed to solve
an issue with my UPS (a rebranded UPS speaking in Ablerex-ese over USB).
Under OpenBSD 4.3, the UPS was claimed by HID. Now that I recompiled the
kernel, adding a USB_quirk, this is what I get when I insert the USB
cable:
ugen0 at uhub0 port 2 "UIS_ABLER USB to Serial" rev 1.00/1.00 addr 2

can you please post the first 20 seconds running blazer_usb in debug mode,
ie:
$ sudo /lib/nut/blazer_usb -DDD -a cyberpower
aside from fixing the megatec situation, ensuring that you'll be able to run
the replacement is also to be considered ;-)
now, for the megatec issue, we need

Converting megatec_usb.c -> serial_usb.c
Folks,
I think the present megatec_usb.c deserves to be renamed to
serial_usb.c. I think it potentially could serve many more UPS'es with
built-in USB-to-serial converters, not limited to the megatec_usb driver
(although that was the first one to use this). I also think a more
layered approach would be nice, in the same fashion as the usbhid-ups
driver with subdrivers. Which would mean that

Can't select phoenix as subdriver in megatec_usb
Hello,
I'm working on getting nut using a Powermust Office 650 USB USV. Using
today's trunk megatec_usb detects its vendorid 0665 productid 5161 but
uses the agiler driver for it which apparently does not work
(timeout...). I think this device is using that USB-to-serial chip but a
different protocol behind. I got the phoenix subdriver working with the
device but I had to extend
