Using the "hidups" driver produces better results, however, I'm not sure if these "unhandled events" errors are good or bad.. I would suspect bad... Any direction would be appreciated.. Tripp Lite USB UPS
Hello all, About a month ago Peter and Charles were kind enough to try to help me with getting a Tripp Lite USB UPS to work with NUT. I reported quite a bit of initial success, and then other things here fell apart. Between work, fence building and a week-long out of town business trip, I have had to drop this from my list of things to do lately. I am back at it, and I believe I will have

Liebert PowerSure PSA 500
Hello everyone, Charles suggested (about a week ago) that I repost to this list. I took a moment to run some additional tests ... The basics: -- UPS: Liebert PowerSure PSA 500 (from the 230 VAC / 50 Hz line) -- Kernel: 2.6.11.5 (from sources), USB support (down to and including CONFIG_USB_HIDDEV) compiled in statically (not as a module) -- Rest of OS: Basically still from the original SuSE

[EXTERNAL] Re: Fixing Drops With SMART1500LCDXL & USB-HID Driver
Updates on this: 1) Making progress in the related Dev list thread here: https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2019-June/007440.html I’ll keep that thread up to date with progress as I go. But if there are specific things it would make sense to test here, just let me know. Otherwise, I figure reducing redundancy makes sense? 2) I tried disabling usbcore.autosuspend, but

[EXTERNAL] Fixing Drops With SMART1500LCDXL & USB-HID Driver
To try and work through the initial drops, I repeated the previous steps that worked on the physical machine on the CentOS 7.6 virtual machine. The drops continued to occur, but it seems that the driver always reconnects. My initial inclination is to work through and see at what point I get the drops to stop, and I think I will do that next (inputs welcome). From a standpoint of “how much does

your Tripp-Lite AVR550U
Hi Patrick, in February, you tried to post the below message to the nut-upsuser list, but the post was rejected because you were not subscribed to the list. Unfortunately, you did not subscribe and re-post it. Anyway, I have been working on Tripp-Lite support for newhidups recently, and I wonder if you have any feedback. Did you ever get this device to work? >From the information you sent,

Ok, so I have made some progress that seems to suggest the initial “fix” I stumbled upon isn’t required. I haven’t yet worked backwards to figure out reasons why our customers have had similar complaints or solve the problem on the CentOS VM yet, but that is on the todo list. I am hoping it ends up just being not enabling the service on startup, but I can’t say that explains away all the symptoms

Tripplite SU1500RTXL2Ua and nut versions, battery line state fluctuates
I am trying to get a TrippLite SU1500RTXL2Ua working with nut on Mandriva 2007.1, is there a particular version of nut needed to get this to work? At first I tried nut 2.0.5 (which came with 2007.1) but it wouldn't work, and then research showed it was an older version of nut. So nut-2.2.1-2 src rpm was pulled from Mandriva 2008.1, the binary rpm built, and nut and nut-server installed from

Hi Patrick, I didn't get further bug reports from you, so I have now listed your device as "supported" by newhidups. Last I saw as of your below message, the driver was working as expected. Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
Hey, was wondering if I could get a quick sanity check. We have a SmartUPS 1500 RM2U which we have connected to a box via USB. It seems like every 40-45 seconds it becomes disconnected and reconnected. Though this only happens when we have NUT enabled, otherwise it's fine. When it is disconnecting and reconnecting running lsusb doesn't show it disconnecting. After having it sit like that

Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
Charles, > What is the new behavior? The CentOS minimal install had different print statements and a broadcast message whenever the UPS was disconnected. The broadcast isn't really important. Below are the differences I pasted though I'm not sure if they are important, I just noticed they were different. Particularly the bolded parts which I think you alluded to in your email about

Unknown product ID for Tripp-Lite UPS (SU1500RTXL2UA)
To all, I attempted to configure the UPS tools for the Tripp-Lite SmartOnline 1500VA 2U rackmount UPS. I followed the instructions from the 'upsdrvctl start' output and posted the diagnostic information below. Is my UPS using an unknown product ID as reported? From the mailing list archive, I have found another posting for the same UPS with device model '09AE/4003', whereas
