Yet another HID device - Cyberpower AE550
Hope it's not too rude to just drop this here for y'all... Checking device (0764/0501) (001/005) - VendorID: 0764 - ProductID: 0501 - Manufacturer: CPS - Product: UPS AE550 - Serial Number: unknown This one and their 485 don't provide a load measurement -- the Windows drivers kick it onto battery for a timed period and measure the drain to guess the runtime -- apparently all their

CyberPower CP550SL / AE550 success
Hi, I finally got the serial cable for this CyberPower CP550SL / AE550, and have successfully tested the genericups type 7 driver. The shutdown delay is about 2 minutes after the shutdown signal, and that signal needs to be rather long, I got it to work with 20 seconds. I suspect that all CyberPower UPSes that are compatible with the Windows UPS service are type 7. All references to the

Cyberpower CP550SL/AE550 Serial
Is anyone working on anything to support the Cyberpower CP550SL/AE550 Serial? Any idea if it uses the same or similar protocol as the other Cyberpower models? I have an HP 4952A Serial Protocol Analyzer and a Cyberpower CP550SL. Once I get the CP550SL up and working in Windows over RS232 I'll hook up the 4952A and see whats going on. I'm not sure what it uses for default baud rate.

Using USB CyberPower CPL550SL / AE550, not working with usbhid-ups driver.
So I just bought one of these fabulous CyberPower UPS devices from BestBuy hoping I could control it with my machine. Luckily, I found NUT! I've got the SVN sources and compiled and installed them but I haven't been able to get it to recognize the usb AE550. When I plug the usb cable in I see this in syslog: Feb 6 22:36:56 mythbox kernel: usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using

how much performance penalty does this incur, scalar as a vector of one element?
I have been comparing R with other languages and systems. One peculiar feature of R is there is no scalar. Instead, it is just a vector of length one. I wondered how much performance penalty this deign cause, particular in situations with many scalars in a program. Thanks. vsftp 500 OOPS: SSL: cannot load RSA key
vsftpd-2.0.1-5 I am trying to get vsftpd to start with ssl_enabled=yes and not having much success. The config file works when ssl_enabled=No and does not work when ssl_enabled=Yes. I have tried setting the following: rsa_cert_file=/usr/share/ssl/certs/inet06cert.pem which is the public certificate and this: rsa_cert_file=/usr/share/ssl/private/inet06key.pem which is the server private

imap disconnects on my account only
Talk about personal problems! I am using dovecot-0.99.13-4.FC2, and everything has been going fine for months. Earlier this afternoon, Thunderbird's status pane would say 'Sending authenticate login information...' and I would no longer receive email. When I checked with others, they were fine and dandy. I tried kmail, evolution, and even tried webmail. All had connection errors.

Domain login problem...
Hi. Whups... Posted to wrong mailing list at first... but anyway... I am using Samba 2.2.6 with LDAP-support compiled in under RH7.3. (same happened with 2.2.5) I can logon from Win9x clients nicely to domain. I can usually join domain under Win2k-sp3. But I can't logon to domain. If I make local login to computer and then try to access shares, it works correctly. I can do logon to Linux

NUT-2.0.5: newhidups on RedHat ES4
Hello everybody, After succeeded in "tuning" nut-2.0.0's hidups and 2.0.3's newhidups on customized Linux kernels, we are now facing a new challenge : trying to install nut-2.0.5 on a RedHat ES4 which is based on a 2.6.9 kernel. I picked up the 2.0.5 source package and follow the INSTALL doc until step 6. So far so good. RH ES4 is managed by udev, therefore I presume we

Dynamic HID driver mappings, Tripplite-hid.c
I think I'm going to have the slightly rejigger the tripplite-hid.c driver to 'properly' support all of the data I know about it's outlets. A given UPS may have 'n' output loads. I could have 5, I could have 10, I won't know until I actually ask the UPS. But in order to use the hid to nut struct, I'm actually going to have to modify that struct dynamically, or

<Cyber Energy> <usbhid-ups/cps-hid.c>-Add HID Usage (Temperature)
Hi NUT: We propose adding HID usage for "Temperature" to the NUT source code file cps-hid.c (driver: USBHID-UPS(8)<https://networkupstools.org/docs/man/usbhid-ups.html>) so that UPS temperature information can be displayed in the UPS status list. After conducting internal tests, we confirmed that inserting the following code: { "ups.temperature", 0, 0,

using a USB HID device with WINE?
I have a flight sim (PhoenixRC) that comes with a special controller. The controller shows up as a Human Interface Device (HID) and it seems to work just fine with Ubuntu--I can do "sudo cat /dev/usb/hiddev0" and see the output change as I move the controls around. However when I start up PhoenixRC it complains that the controller isn't connected. Is there a way to use the controller

Non Standard USB HID UPS
Hello, I've already written to the list before about my non-standard hid Unitek UPS. I've tried to use hiddev to access my UPS as its USB HID interface is the same as the energizerups. Nevertheless, the protocols are different and I didn't manage to communicate with my UPS through hiddev. Moreover, the problem described in this page http://www.vttoth.com/ER-OF800.htm about the Linux

[PATCH] fix usb hid and mass-storage protocol revision
Minor nit: When booting a Solaris x86 kernel with verbose kernel messages enabled inside qemu, with an usb hid or usb mass-storage device, then the Solaris kernel reports these usb devices as implementing "USB 0.10" protocol. The comment in the code tells me these device implement v1.0 protocol. The 16-bit bcdUSB word word in the device descriptor has the protocol revision swapped and
