Centralion Blazer 2000VA USB-HID
Hi again,
I've succeeded in compiling the svn trunk with the automake tools and wish
to say thank you to Charles Lepple for his help.
After fixing some parameters in the hotplug script I can now get access to
the UPS on /dev/usb/hiddev0 (I added productid and vendorid of my ups to the
usermap).
I've decided to try the newhidups driver with -x generic parameter and got

usb ups on openindiana
Hello all,
I am trying to set up my brother's UPS (remotely over internet)
on an OpenIndiana-based storage box. According to him, the UPS is
probably an Ippon Back Power Pro 600 dated around 2003 (battery
recently replaced), and it has an USB connection.
Sorry for a relatively long post with a log of my successes and
failures, in the hopes that someone would point out what I did
wrong.

nut with Belkin "Active Battery Backup" UPS (BU30 series)
Hi,
I bought a Belkin Active Battery Backup UPS
(http://www.belkin.com/uk/activebattery/) yesterday with a USB port and
hoped it would work with nut.
The device will show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices as a Cypress
Semiconductor USB to Serial. It creates /dev/hiddev0 (and this
disappears when the UPS is unplugged). I've tried using belkin,
belkinunv, usbhid-ups and megatec_usb. I've tried

Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
Hi,
a few days ago, I bought some of those Mustek UPSes
that have both a serial and a USB connector.
Currently only the serial port is supported by
the megatec driver. This works fine so far.
Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver,
which currently only supports 2 other UPSes.
How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust
might actually work with the megatec_usb driver?

NUT usbhid -- trying to write USB (sub)drivers
Hi Rok,
I retired from working on NUT a few months ago, so I don't have the
most up-to-date info. But the guys on the nut-upsdev mailing list
(cc'd above) are very helpful.
Both of your devices (or nearly identical ones) have been seen on the
mailing lists before. The Sweex was first mentioned in a message by
Eli Wapniarski on 14 Jun 2006 on nut-upsuser, and was most recently

can't make mustek powermust 600usb work
Disclaimer: I've setup APC UPS monitoring and it works...
... but when it comes to mustek powermust 600usb (connected via
com-port), I can't make it work.
Got NUT installed via aptitude in ubuntu feisty and a basic setup,
exactly the same as for the apc, except for the name of the ups and
the corresponding section of ups.conf

Mustek Powermust 600VA
Hi,
I'm having a hard time configuring a Mustek Powermust 600VA ups to
work via USB with nut. I read somewhere that nut works OK via the
rs232 cable, but unfortunately I don't have a COM port in my computer.
The kernel detects the ups as an Xbox pad :) and loads the xpad
module. I tried running /lib/nut/megatec with different /dev/ttySx but
it displays megatec protocol UPS was not

powermust usb
Hi,
I have a powermust with a usb connector.
I searched the archive and found this post:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-April/000816.html
Must I abandon hope of controlling this UPS via USB
with NUT?
Added this line to
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-nut-usbups.rules:

Mustek PowerMust 800VA
Hello,
fisrt, you should subscribe to the NUT user mailing list to get a good
support, since I've personaly no knowledges about such units:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsuser
Next, you should try the latest nut release (2.0.5 currently, but
2.2.0 soon) and most of all the new megatec driver.

In the latest development version of NUT there's a new driver called
"megatec_usb" that may support your UPS. If it

Mustek Powermust 800 under Ubuntu
Hello,
I'm trying to setup my UPS using the "megatec" driver, but for now without
success. from what I understood, the UPS should be connected to serial port
(despite being an USB UPS), so I did i.
sudo upsdrvctl start

Network UPS Tools - Megatec protocol driver 1.5 (2.0.5)

MUSTEK PowerMust 3000 NetGuard RM
Hello,
We are using the equipment "MUSTEK PowerMust 3000 NetGuard RM". That is
using Megatec protocol. But unfortunately not all the data can be viewed
correctly when dumping from utility "upsc".
For example:
upsbox# upsc mustek at localhost
battery.voltage: 108.00
battery.voltage.nominal: 96.0
driver.name: megatec
driver.parameter.pollinterval: 2
