HP R3000 XR, warning or perhaps error
Hi, So far I've gleaned heaps of useful info from the list and got mostly running with NUT. There was a thread by Paul Battaglia and Kjell Claesson about the R3000 which has helped me get so far, but now with the patched driver I still have this on startup: # /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.5 Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.11

HP R3000 XR (BCMXCP) serial connection problem: e7!!! and e2!!!
UPS: HP R3000 XR with HP UPS Management Module What I Want: I just want the UPS to shut down the client called "tor" before the UPS power drains out, I'd prefer to use a direct serial cable instead of network, in case the network doesn't work. I'll manage the UPS trough the ethernet using the built-in HTTP webinterface in the HP UPS Management Module. I've created a

Accurate battery reports? (HP R3000 XR)
Hi I have a HP R3000 XR UPS which NUT never says is at 100% battery. It seems stuck in 98 or 99 . something percentage. How accurate should i expect the reports to be? All my other UPSes has been and is at 100%, even those i have retired. My monitor system runs debian. The host that is physically connected to this ups runs: nut 2.2.2-6.4 The web script runs nut-cgi 2.0.4-4 JonB

New NUT user with HP R3000XR problem
Greetings, I've just installed nut-2.4.1 on a Solaris 10 x86 machine to monitor a HP R3000XR UPS. SunOS babylon4 5.10 Generic_138889-08 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris First of all, I encountered a single problem during the build. After configuring, drivers/Makefile ends up containing the following line: LIBNETSNMP_LDFLAGS = -R../lib -L/usr/sfw/lib -lnetsnmp -lgen [...] This is clearly

Question on weird output from a Compaq R3000
Hi All, I put my Compaq R3000 UPS on NUT. Every once in a while the battery alarm light turns on, on the front of the UPS. Maybe once every couple of days or so. When that happens I get the following output in /var/log/messages: Sep 22 01:51:46 mail upscode2[90734]: Unknown response to UPDS: .20 MOUL1 Sep 22 01:51:46 mail upscode2[90734]: Unknown response to UPDS: 0119.20 MOIL1 Sep 22

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card [UPDATE]
Additional question: I noticed on the HP Website that the latest version of "CPQPOWER.MIB" (1.76, dated Sept. 19, 2013) was more recent than the related file (./drivers/compaq-mib.c) in the NUT driver. Is the MIB structure as implemented on the management card perhaps no longer in line with the NUT driver ? The latest MIB file can be downloaded from the following URL:

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card
Hello list, I've installed NUT on an HP blade server, and I try to get it communicating via SNMP with 2 HP R3000 UPSes, each fitted with a AF465A management card. To do this, I used the snmp-ups driver, and configured it for the "cpqpower" MIB. Communication with the UPSes is established. My problem is that both UPSes constantly return the "OL OB" status which, in

WG: Re: Wine and the serial port [LONG]
Hi, I applied your patch and recompiled, but I'm still having trouble. In what follows I've tried to describe some details. The first problem was this: The Comm-Port gets opened with overlapped I/O. However, for WaitCommEvent() we do not specify an overlapped structure. This works fine on NT4 / W2K, but is contrary to the documentation, which specifys that you need to supply an

can't connect to an Eaton Powerware 9155 over a usb-serial adapter
hello everyone, I've been testing the NUT solution as opposed to the undocumented LanSafe application to control my Eaton UPS. I am on a Slackware 13.37 system with a 2.6.37.6 kernel. NUT version is 2.4.3 . I installed the tarball by compiling it directly on my system (as a slackbuild package). The UPS is an Eaton Powerware 9155, but I don't know how to obtain the manufacturing date. The

Understanding targets
Hello Paul and Simon, (Sorry - I'm not sure about the social conventions in mailing lists) Both of your answers helped me a lot! So If I understand it correctly, Clang knows what 'mips1' and 'mips5' are - but can't generate code for it? Why is it like that? I actually have a more in general questions about processors... If this is the wrong place for it, please ignore it,

bcmxcp patch
Hi Michael, I've forwarded your patch to Kjell, who's maintaining the bcmxcp driver, and to the nut development list. Kjell and others have more knowledges of the xcp protocol and will be able to analyze your patch. 2008/1/4, michalwd1979 <michalwd1979 at o2.pl>: > Hello Arnaud, > I am sending You a small patch to bcmxcp.c and bcmxcp.h files from nut-2.2.0. compaq r3000 triggering the fuse when power is reconnected
All, I have a fairly old Compaq R3000h which is overdue for new batteries. Before I go and splash out a few hundred francs, I'd just need a quick sanity check - when I disconnect the power (UPS under load), it cuts out pretty much right away, so the batteries are flat (even though the charge indicator says full). When I reconnect the power, the surge triggers a 16A mains fuse. This sounds

Battery applet missing Compaq R3000
Hello list, I recently loaded CentOS 4.2 x86_64 on a Compaq R3000 laptop and then fully updated to 4.3. The battery applet on other installs always just showed up and worked, not so here. It is not in the applet choices at all, it is available here on my desktop. I suspect it is something simple I'm missing but I need a point in the right direction. I did try: yum remove and yum install

How do I configure NUT?
Hi there. I need some advise on how to configure NUT, if it is possible to do it. My UPS, a Compaq R3000 has three individual power segments. I want NUT to: When mains is interrupted. Shut down all serves immediately. When all servers are completely down, in sequence with time delay shut down two of the power segments. When batteries is about to be depleted shut down itself and the last power
