Patch for addition of Cyberpower RMCARD100, 201, 202, 301 (snmp mib)
I did a bunch of work on this today. It should be all set to go. This patch is to add support for the Cyberpower RMCARD snmp cards. I basically copied the driver for bestpower, changed the name and updated the mib map. I have this running on two separate systems (two separate ups's) and it looks good. The only thing I could not figure out was updating the Makefile.am (my aclocal/libtools

Snmp-ups/netvision driver for Socomec UPS
Hello We have an Socomec Sicon Netys PR3000 UPS equipped with NetVision Web/SNMP adaptor. I try to monitor the ups using snmp-ups driver and netvision mibs set. The snmp-ups driver starts correctly and connects to the UPS, upsd confirms it, but upsmon constantly shows "No communication" error I think the cause is the SNMP adapter reports the UPS status as "ECO mode"

Meaning of Battery Resting/PW-MIBs
Hi, just testing with a HP R1500 XR (answers as Powerware) with SNMP/Serial Port Card using SNMP I found: 1st: The batt status 1.3.6.1.4.1.534.1.2.5.0 goes away after some time. Isn't visible in a snmpwalk anymore, seems to be a bug in the card. 2nd: The ups turns into "resting" 48h after battery is full. It turns off the fan, the batt voltage lowers a little, it seems, avoiding

Tripplite UPS (SU10KRT3/1X) through snmp-ups (nut 2.6.5)
Thanks, now I started getting messages from the list. As you advised, I renamed the mib file NETCARD.mib to Tripplite and ran command ./gen-snmp-subdriver.sh -H 10.200.254.39 -c public -n Tripplite Here is what it says: snmp_build: unknown failuresnmpget: Error building ASN.1 representation (Can't build OID for variable) COUNT = 0 / 0 Creating tripplite-mib.h Creating tripplite-mib.c Done.

Prebuilt OpenSolaris / Nexenta DomU with ZFS root?
Does anyone know of a prebuilt Solaris or Nexenta DomU with a ZFS root that uses paravirtualization? I''ve been mulling over the directions for both, but my Xen DomU is Fedora for the moment. (I hope to use OpenSolaris as my Dom0 at some point, but due to lack of hardware and time, I need to build the VMs first before I format my home-server.) Thanks, -Luke

HTB rate miscalculation
Hi, I''ve migrated my tc configuration from CBQ to HTB. One problem appeared. Htb seems to miscalculate the bandwidth for classes with greater rates. For rates below 2Mbit there is almost no difference between the configured and the measured rate. For large ones the problem starts. My root class has 10Mbit rate and when the interface has heavy trafic the measured bandwidth

One for the Cisco experts...
I have a Cisco 6509 switch that I'm monitoring with SNMP from a CentOS5 machine. SNMP polls are the only access I have to this device, we are not allowed to log on via telnet. How can I find out which port on the switch a particular server is connected to? I was hoping that this is somehow possible using the mac address and the data gathered from snmpwalk/snmpget requests but I'm not

monitoring classes
Greetings all, I''ve been searching high and low for any inkling of how people are monitoring classes for long term usage data. I''m thinking something along a script to collect the data for mrtg or perhaps even an snmp module that would present them as interfaces to be polled....has anyone done any work in this area?
