[Bug 662435] Re: megatec_usb driver stopped working after upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04
Hi Michael, thanks for your feedback! I'm cc'ing the NUT users list for info. I've also added an entry for your device (Powerwalker Line Interactive VI 1400, using blazer_usb). Can you please send back an upsc output, and at least check for the shutdown behavior, if not already done: http://new.networkupstools.org/user-manual.html#Testing_shutdowns 2010/10/19 MichaelE <662435 at

Megatec_USB on OpenBSD 4.3 - no input interrupt endpoint

Megatec_USB on OpenBSD 4.3 - again...
Hello again! Thanks to the precious help from Henning Brauer, I managed to solve an issue with my UPS (a rebranded UPS speaking in Ablerex-ese over USB). Under OpenBSD 4.3, the UPS was claimed by HID. Now that I recompiled the kernel, adding a USB_quirk, this is what I get when I insert the USB cable: ugen0 at uhub0 port 2 "UIS_ABLER USB to Serial" rev 1.00/1.00 addr 2 So far, so

Unsupported UPS using megatec_usb
Hey all, thanks for your work on nut. I recently got myself a new cheap UPS, and have thus far determined very little about it. I can run whatever you like to help identify and work with it. So far I've played around with various settings and have had some limited success with the megatec_usb driver (Debian testing version): ----ups.conf---- [plexus] driver=megatec_usb model=500VA mfr=Plexus

nut and megatec_usb
ut 2.4.1 works with megatec_usb driver. It tries to interact with a device in /dev/bus/usb/X/Y, but there are root:root 664 access rights. When I try to set port /dev/hiddev0 with write access in config file, in strace there are no records about accessing /dev/hiddev, but still only /dev/bus/usb/X/Y How to explain such a behavior? execve("./megatec_usb",

Belkin F6C1100-UNV not recognized by megatec_usb?
Hi everyone, I have a belkin ups that was bought around 2 months ago. It seems like the driver doesn't like the UPS, although on the website it's listed as supported. This is on a gentoo system with nut 2.2.1 . megatec_usb output: ---------SNIP---------- digamma nut # ./megatec_usb -a belkinm -DDDDDD Network UPS Tools 2.2.1 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.9 [megatec_usb] Carlos Rodrigues

Megatec_usb driver
Trying to use it with Sven Smart RM2000 (seems to be an OEM clone of Sysgration Smart RM UPS: http://www.sysgration.com/product.asp?KID=7). I have just compiled the latest svn trunk. Unfortunately it does not work with that UPS: dbely at vserver1:~/nut-svn$ sudo /usr/local/ups/bin/megatec_usb -u root -a myups Network UPS Tools 2.1.0 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.3 [megatec_usb] Carlos Rodrigues

Nut with megatec_usb
Hi, I'm new in the list and I'm having a little bit trouble to put the megatec_usb to work. I've been using NUT for a while with the apc and megatec driver (serial), with no problem. The server is a Ubuntu 8.04.2 with NUT version 2.2.1-2.1ubuntu7.2, the default package version in this ubuntu release. I've configured the ups.conf as follows: [sms] driver = megatec_usb

Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
Hi, a few days ago, I bought some of those Mustek UPSes that have both a serial and a USB connector. Currently only the serial port is supported by the megatec driver. This works fine so far. Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver, which currently only supports 2 other UPSes. How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust might actually work with the megatec_usb driver? -- Regards,

Converting megatec_usb.c -> serial_usb.c
Folks, I think the present megatec_usb.c deserves to be renamed to serial_usb.c. I think it potentially could serve many more UPS'es with built-in USB-to-serial converters, not limited to the megatec_usb driver (although that was the first one to use this). I also think a more layered approach would be nice, in the same fashion as the usbhid-ups driver with subdrivers. Which would mean that

Can't select phoenix as subdriver in megatec_usb
Hello, I'm working on getting nut using a Powermust Office 650 USB USV. Using today's trunk megatec_usb detects its vendorid 0665 productid 5161 but uses the agiler driver for it which apparently does not work (timeout...). I think this device is using that USB-to-serial chip but a different protocol behind. I got the phoenix subdriver working with the device but I had to extend
