[EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is NUT using the same SNMP v3 user as your SNMP Set or a different one? If it is a different one (e.g. an SNMP v1 or v2c string) does that user / community string have read/write access? tcpdump to listen for packets across UDP 161 is one way to check what is actually being sent. Thank you, David Zomaya Tripp Lite ________________________________ From: Nut-upsuser

My nut-snmp has forgotten how to speak IETF RFC1628!
[I had a look through the mail archives before sending this, but I didn't find anyone else having this issue.] Has anyone seen this before? I'm almost 100% certain I tested this nut correctly detected OB LB in the past, but when I happened to look at it today, I see it refusing to work -- apparently because the NUT client knows how to ask for RFC1628 OIDs, but not what to do with the

I meant to send this to the list but evidently only sent it to David. Since sending it I've done a second test which shows what a successful snmpset looks like. snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card
Hello list, I've installed NUT on an HP blade server, and I try to get it communicating via SNMP with 2 HP R3000 UPSes, each fitted with a AF465A management card. To do this, I used the snmp-ups driver, and configured it for the "cpqpower" MIB. Communication with the UPSes is established. My problem is that both UPSes constantly return the "OL OB" status which, in

GE LanPro + SNMP + NUT
Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to enable our GE LanPro LP 31 UPS to communicate with our mixed-bag environment of various Windows, Unix and Linux hosts and even some appliances such as NetApp. What I hope to achieve is a controlled shutdown of most systems when power is about to run out. The GE LanPro doesn't seem to be a very visible brand on the Internet, very few
