Running Vyatta on Xen
Hello, I am working on a project where I would like to run Vyatta with Xen (v 3.0.1 from redhat). I have had only mitigated sucess so far. Actually the real Vyatta kernel doesn''t boot inside of Xen. I am planning to get the source and apply the Xen patch to it so then I could boot right off this new Vyatta kernel/initrd being Xen compliant. Here are the steps I took after I downloaded

R: tinc on Vyatta?
Hi, I just listed lenny repository and installed tinc from there. I configured tinc interface the usual way but nothing more. It would be interesting to configure the interface from vyatta itself but I don't know how to do it. ------Messaggio originale------ Da: Rob Townley Mittente:tinc-bounces at tinc-vpn.org A:tinc at tinc-vpn.org Rispondi a:tinc at tinc-vpn.org Oggetto: tinc on Vyatta?

Fw: Vyatta VC5 inplace of Xen-bridging.
I have 4 guest VMs installed on 1 host. One of them is Vyatta (VC5). Currently we are using default Xen-bridge for communication between VMs(inter-domain or intra-domain). I want to assign Vyatta(a guest VM) exclusively to replace Xen-bridging for VM to VM communication. Means the traffic sent from guest-1 to guest-2 bypass briging and route through vyatta(VM), instead of going to Dom0. As

OMNIPLUS1000LCD is "unavailable"
Hello! First time posting to this list. I recently purchased a Tripp-Lite OMNIPLUS1000LCD from Costco (USA). I have it attached via USB to a Dell computer with Ubuntu 8.04 server (all updates on it). I've gone through a lot of research on google and this list and can't figure out why my UPS will not connect using nut/usbhid-ups. My setup in ups.conf is: ------- [OMNI1000LCD]

Vyatta ISO in DomU
A friend of mine recommended checking out the Vyatta project. I was reviewing their website and saw endorsements of their product running on both Vmware and Xen. In fact, they have a Vmware virtual image and a beta XenServer image. However, I am running a typical Debian Lenny 64 DomU installed through the repositories. According to their installation documents, it states that the ISO can be

Setting up Apollo Line Interactive UPS on Ubuntu
Hi Having followed this guide: http://blog.shadypixel.com/monitoring-a-ups-with-nut-on-debian-or-ubuntu-linux/and seeing support for Apollo UPSes mentioned on the compatibility list (genericups, type=4) I tried to set up Nut as follows. OS: Ubuntu Server 12.04 Nut: 2.6.3 (I believe - from Ubuntu repos) ups.conf: > [apollo] > driver = genericups > upstype = 4 > port = /dev/ttyUSB0

Advice Partner PRPC650 - no serial device
Good day! I'm struggling to connect by Advice Partner PRPC650 UPS to Nut. The UPS uses USB for communication and the current problem is that serial device (/dev/ttyUSB*) is not detected. OS is Debian Lenny (same behavior on Ubuntu Hardy). Did anyone have any success with this UPS? Here is what my dmesg and udevmonitor say (on Debian): dmesg: usb 2-3: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd

Debugging nut-hal-drivers/gnome-power-manager
Hi, I'm trying to debug gnome-power-manager, specifically, why it doesn't shutdown the system when it should. Is there a way I can simulate shutdown conditions without actually unplugging my ups and waiting a while? Thanks, Avery

Debian Squeeze / Powerware 9135 450KVA UPS
Hi All, I'm a system administrator of a large data center, and I've recently replaced the machine that acted as the nut master for our cluster/cloud. The machine that was interfacing with our Powerware 9135 450KVA 3 phase UPS, not to confused with Eaton's Powerware 9135, and was a Fedora Core 4 box running nut version 2.0.3-4 connected by a serial cable. We are using these versions

[LLVMdev] How does JIT/lli work with bc file?
Hi Eli, Thanks for your reply. If I add -force-interpreter to lli, then it seems that it can not run external function like printf or malloc. Is there any easy way to solve this problem? Oracle SQL driver
Hi all. Recently I was looking for an IMAP-server with Oracle support and unfortunatelly I couldn't find one. It was a surprise for me but there is no such functionality at all. So I've chosen an IMAP-server with most flexible and convinient architecture that was Dovecot-1.2.9 and written a driver for Oracle RDBMS support. I used Oracle Pro*C so a Pro*C preprocessor is needed to

Lost mdadm.conf
Hi, I lost my mdadm.conf (and /proc/mdadm shows nothing useful) and I'd like to mount the filesystem again. So I've booted using rescue but I was wondering if I can do a command like this safely (i.e without losing the data previously stored). mdadm -C /dev/md0 --level=raid0 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 Where of course the raid devices and the /dev/x are the correct ones

No sound using OSS in Steam games
Whenever I change the sound driver from ALSA to OSS in winecfg all of my steam games are muted. Some of the games doesn't even start, some of them start but are totally silent with OSS. I installed a couple of non-steam games into the same wineprefix, interestingly they can use both sound systems. So this issue is applied only to steam games. If I apply the WINEDEBUG=+dsound parameter when
