hdt-project.org no IP?
Unable to determine IP address from host name "www.hdt-project.org" Getting this today? Not sure what issue is? I paid for the renewal back in 08/04/2016 and and in 2015, so the domain should be current? But the whois seems to show it is expired? Went to the gandi site, and it doesn't show a renewal option or anything? whois hdt-project.org [Querying

hdt-project.org no IP?
The date format may have been an issue, and I had noticed the whois changed the expiration date later to 2018, but dig with my local and with google dns still comes back with no ip. If you addess the gandi dns servers you do get the ip address?? So not sure why it has updated the other dns servers? I have a dyndns.org account, and had mapped an address to the IP and it works find, so the

Changing registrar
Until now, we were tied to Amen (which delegates to Network Solutions), which was not an optimal choice. As of today, I've moved to Gandi, another French registrar, which is a kind of good citizen out there: http://www.gandi.net/whowe/ http://www.gandi.net/supports/ While I've done everything to avoid a disruption during the transfer period, we might still face some issues. good small registrar?
Greetings, What are some registrars that members of this list have had good experience with? I was stepping through the godaddy checkout process, and being opted-in to a dozen different upsell features just left a bad impression. But I have no clue who else to go with. -Eugene -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[PATCH v2] xen-netback: add a pseudo pps rate limit
VM traffic is already limited by a throughput limit, but there is no control over the maximum packet per second (PPS). In DDOS attack the major issue is rather PPS than throughput. With provider offering more bandwidth to VMs, it becames easy to coordinate a massive attack using VMs. Example: 100Mbits ~ 200kpps using 64B packets. This patch provides a new option to limit VMs maximum packets per

Call to funding NUT infrastructure
Dear NUT Community, It's not something you've been used to from me, but... I've been funding the NUT infrastructure on my own for many years now. I'm currently in a situation that is a bit hard, financially speaking. I've recently renewed the networkupstools.org domain name. But now comes the server in itself (BaseInstance Cloud slice on Gandi). It's not that many bucks

How to control shell access by group?
Sorry if this is too newbie. I would appreciate any help. I would like to control shell access by group so that I don't have to add it to parameter "template shell: and give everyone that is authenticated shell access. I am using winbind so I see every window user when I do a "getent passwd" with /bin/null as their shell but I don't know how to go and change that for

mge-shut lowbatt config param
Hi, We have been testing an MGE Pulsar M 3000 and found that the lowbatt doesn't appear to do much. You can see it in the output of upsc but battery.charge.low is still the default. Setting battery.charge.low with upsrw does seem to 'stick' though so I we can use that. Mostly I'm wondering what the driver param is for :) -- Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer

Announce: new team member (to work on Mozilla NSS port)
Dear fellows, As you have probably seen, NUT has had a recent boost through the help of Eaton. Frederic Bohe (contractor for Eaton France) has worked on Augeas, and is now working the Windows port. Chetan Agarwal, seconded by Prashi Gandi (both from Eaton India) are working on XCP and quality / validation related projects. I'm now pleased to announce that Emilien Kia (contractor for Eaton

iptables to block region-specific ip's?
Hello, I'm running fail2ban on my centos machine. It's handling sshd and postfix, and is working quite well. From the reports I'm seeing all the atempts are from a certain registrar's region, I won't name it, and was wondering instead of blocking individual ip's if there was a way I could block with iptables the complete region of ip's. I realize this will cut off a

DNS Server
Hello, I have recently switched from having a dynamic IP address and using a DNS service like zoneedit and dyndns to having a static IP address. How do I stop having to use these DNS services and use my own? I tried changing the DNS servers at my registrar but it won't accept my server. TIA

Does anyone know a good Dovecot hoster in europe?
Hi, though I am not sure this is the right place to ask, but I just try. I am looking for a better e-mail hoster providing me with a dovecot server (I don't want to do all the admin stuff and backup myself, if possible). I already googled a bit, searched the archives and had a look at dovecot.org but could not find an answer to this question. Since dovecot seems to get a fair amount of

[PATCH] [Xend] Move some backend configuration
This patch moves some dom0 variables and backend device configuration from frontend directories to /local/domain/<backdomid>/backend or /vm. Also, - the first console is created as a xend device and moves from console/0 to device/console/0 - /vm_path/<domid> is introduced, referencing the /vm path - /vm_path/device/backend holds the backend device location, rather than storing it
