Problem with blazer_ser/megatec when upgrading to 2.6.0 from 2.4
Hello First things first, thanks for great work with NUT. For years I used Informer compact 3kVA UPS http://www.informups.com/informer_compact.html with nut/megatec serial driver, but it stopped working when I switched to blazer_ser with 2.6.0 upgrade. I'm using 2.6.0 on gentoo. Blazer_ser seems to connect with UPS, but upsmon reports driver not connected. uname -a Linux localhost

New UPS to the DB
Hi, I have an OEM of KStar UDC9101S which is Megatec protocol rs232 capable unit. So I use blazer_ser protocol=megatec /dev/ttyUSB0 with no issue to get NUT running. Please direct me what command should I issue to collect the data in order to include the UPS to device database? P.S. tryed /lib/nut/blazer_ser -DD... but no difference from a regular output has being added by the driver.

Protocol for an Arduino based UPS
Hi, I'm building a DIY UPS for a Raspberry Pi using a 12V SLA battery, charger, and an off the shelf 5V regulator. To monitor the battery level I'd like to use an Arduino or similar type device. Since the Arduino can have a serial over USB connection with the Pi I'd like to implement a protocol that can be used with NUT. Does anyone know if something like this has already been done?

UPS serial protocol
Having dealt with the USB portion of our UPS, I'm now reviewing our serial port communication. I've looked over some of the drivers in NUT to see how they handle it so I can get an idea of what the "standard" is for how to accomplish it. I'd like to do something simple and human readable. It seems like most data is gathered from a query and a response. Is that typical? I

Monitor UPS Brand SMS
I am far from expert on these matters. But have a couple questions: 1. Are you sure that /dev/ttyUSB0 exists and is the result of the Prolific USB->serial converter? For example, if you yank the Prolific and reboot, is /ttyUSB0 there still? It is possible that there is another /dev/ttyUSBx out there.I doubt this but wonder. 2. I have recently been fuddled due to permission problems of

Driver for Socomec ITyS UPS (2000VA)
Hello, I have tried to use the blazer_ser driver to interface with my UPS. nut is not able to detect the UPS. I have not been able to find much info regarding Socomec UPS support in nut. Socomec does publish a description of the serial protocol for these UPS's, which can be found here: http://www.socomec.com/download-jbus-modbus.html(select UPS OTHER for device model, 1-5KVA for device power
