Mustek 400va + NUT 2.0.1 shutdown problem
I've installed everything from sources (NUT 2.0.1)
on freebsd 5.4 and it detects the ups, it tells me
about the voltages etc.
When the battery charge reaches certain level it
tells me that the battery is low and the system
will shutdown but nothing happenes.
In logs I can only find:
upsmon[386]: Executing automatic power-fail
shutdown
upsmon[384]: Unable to call shutdown command

GE Digital Energy NetPro 19" UPS. Supported?
Hi all!
Does NUT offer any support for the GE Digital Energy NetPro 19" UPS? I have one of those beasts here, connected to a Linux machine via it's own 'serial' cable.

Energy estimation from encoded opus packets
As a diagnostic tool, I would like to try and determine if an opus packet is essentially silence or not, without decoding the packet. Do you have any advice on whether this is feasible and what parameters to examine in the Opus frame?

[LLVMdev] Identifying Compiler Options to Minimize Energy Consumption by Embedded Programs
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to announce a project joint between the University of Bristol and Embecosm. In this project we hope to identify what effect a broad range of compiler options has on the energy consumption of different embedded platforms. To do this we are finding a set of relevant benchmarks, compiling them with different options and measuring their energy consumption on these platforms.

[OT] Does Energy Savings mode exist with BRI/PtP ?
Hello,
I always thought that Energy Savings mode existed with ISDN Basic Rate
Interface in Point -to-multi-Point but it didn't with Point-to-point.
Is this correct ?
Have you ever met a public PSTN switch configured to "cut" B ISDN channels
in Point-to-point.signalling ?
Regards.

new version of package water: Actual Evapotranspiration with Energy Balance Models
Dear R users,
I'm glad to announce the new version of water package (0.5).
As this is my first message to the list, I want to add that this
package provides tools to estimate actual evapotranspiration from
surface energy balance models.
Right now you can run the well-know METRIC model using it. This model
allows to estimate the energy balance using landsat (7 or 5) images
and a weather

energy 1.0.1
R Users,
We would like to announce that Version 1.0.1 of the energy package is
now available on CRAN.
The energy package introduces a new class of statistical tests based
on the concept of Newton's potential energy. Included in the package are
* mvnorm.etest (test) and mvnorm.e (statistic)
A rotation invariant multivariate goodness-of-fit test,
implemented for testing

Snooze energy-efficient cloud manager is available as open-source!
Dear all,
herewith we proudly announce the first public release of Snooze.
Snooze is an open-source scalable, autonomic, and energy-efficient
virtual machine (VM) management framework for private clouds based on
libvirt. Similarly to other VM management frameworks such as Nimbus,
OpenNebula, Eucalyptus, and OpenStack it allows to build compute
infrastructures from virtualized resources.
