Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi,
it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website
that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the
megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to
work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain
:-).
Thanks,
~David
P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work
100% with the belkin UPS,

nut with Belkin "Active Battery Backup" UPS (BU30 series)
Hi,
I bought a Belkin Active Battery Backup UPS
(http://www.belkin.com/uk/activebattery/) yesterday with a USB port and
hoped it would work with nut.
The device will show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices as a Cypress
Semiconductor USB to Serial. It creates /dev/hiddev0 (and this
disappears when the UPS is unplugged). I've tried using belkin,
belkinunv, usbhid-ups and megatec_usb. I've tried

Belkin F6H375 not seen by nut 2.2.1
I recently bought a Belkin F6H375 UPS. It connects to the computer via USB.
Searching the Internet led me to believe that the megatec_usb driver in nut
supports this UPS, however I've been unable to get it to work.
I have this in ups.conf:
[belkinusb]
driver = megatec_usb
port = auto
desc = "Belkin USB"
Here's what happens when I try to use it:

Belkin USB UPSes
I just bought a pair of Belkin USB UPSes -- F6C1200-UNV and F6C550-AVR --
and installed the latest version of nut under Ubuntu 7.04. I'm using
the F6C1200-UNV.
My system does see the device; dmesg says
[ 82.718428] usb 2-2: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
[ 82.941189] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

Bogus "UPS not available" messages
Belkin F6C1200-UNV on Ubuntu 7.04, megatec_usb driver,
Every few minutes I get a beep and a "UPS not available" message that
seems to be bogus; upsc reports real data, not at complaint that it's
stale.
Is there some timeout I need to lengthen?
Also, shouldn't upsc report the poll time associated with the data
it displays?

APC Smart UPS at a Mac Mini
Hi,
I'm using a APC Smart UPS with a Mac Mini, connected using a USB serial converter.
Works fine so far, the Mac Mini will be shut down, a NAS connected of the network to the nut on Mac Mini will also shut down, perfect.
However, the ups will not be shut down. Very unfortunate, since the Mac will not start again, if the power comes back before the batteries are completely empty.

Belkin F6C750-AVR Nut Driver for Linux
Hi Everyone,
I am new to UPSs and Linux.? I purchased a Belkin F6C750-AVR UPS for our church.? We are?running CENTOS 5.2.
I tried the Linux Power Management Software that came with Belkin UPS with NO success.
I installed the NUT software.
After some experimentation I received some success with the megatec_usb Nut driver:
[root at server bin]# /sbin/megatec_usb -u root -a serverups -DDDD

nut on pclos-2010.7
Greetings people;
The section of drakeconf that pclos uses has two problems.
First is several screens full of complaints about deprecated syntax in
"/etc/udev/rules.d/70-nut-usbups.rules" at each reboot.
So I pulled the current 2.5 svn trunk, then found I was missing quite a few
build tools needed here that aren't used when building a kernel, currently
running a 32 bit

Maruson power net 1500 support?
I recently took over maintenance of a linux computer which is drawing
power from a "Maruson Power Net 1500" UPS. However, there is currently
no monitoring or control of the UPS by this (or any other) computer.
Can nut control this device? There are serial, usb, and EPO connectors
on the back of the unit. (There may be a manual but I'm going to have
to hunt for it.)
Thanks,
David

success report with megatec and Belkin F6H650UkUNV (was: Success report with network UPS tools)
Hi Andy,
I've forwarded your info to the development list, and Carlos Rodrigues
(the
megatec driver author and maintainer.
As a side note, there is a megatec_usb driver underway. You might
want to give it a try.
@Carlos: I let you update the drivers.list.
Thanks for your report,
Arnaud Quette

Sven Power Pro 1000+
Hello.
I recently upgraded from Ubuntu Maverick to Natty and hence upgraded nut from 2.4.3-1ubuntu5 to 2.6.0-1ubuntu3.
My Sven PowerPro+ 1000 UPS ( http://en.sven.ru/catalog/ups/power_pro_plus_1000.htm ) worked fine with the previous version, using megatec_usb driver, but doesn't work with the current version, since megatec_usb is no longer available.
Here is the output from blazer_usb.

Repeat patch for ogg123
Hi,
I have made a small patch for enabling repeating in ogg123.
It adds the parameter "--repeat n" or "r n" where n indicates how
many times it repeats the playlists. Zero in forever.
Apply it if you like, I find it very convenient.

Configuring a server without an UPS attached
This will sound a bit odd.
I have a current server running with a UPS. I'm in the process of
replacing that server with another and obviously want Nut to monitor the
new server. The new/old servers are in different locations, so I don't
have access to the UPS while configuring the replacement server.
I think I have the config ok, but what errors would you expect to see?

describing a "Delta USB Report Descriptor Protocol". This
