Starpy and Asterisk on different machines ? [SOLVED]
Thanks for replying.
So as python-starpy requires asterisk in Debian Wheezy repo, for a Debian
setup the alternatives are either :
- to install it from source
- tto build my own custom package removing this asterisk dependency (is it
easy or even possible ?)
- to use another solution such as pyst.

Starpy and Asterisk on different machines ?
Hello,
Is it possible to run Starpy and Asterisk on different machines ?
A quick glance at http://www.vrplumber.com/programming/starpy/ seems to
tell it is possible but Debian's python-starpy package installs Asterisk.
What do you think ?

py-Asterisk or pyst?
Hi there,
I need a Python interface to asterisk manager for my own project. The
voip-info.org (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+manager+Examples)
lists 4 python projects for this purpose: Fats, py-Asterisk, pyst and
StarPy. Because my project is rather small and I don't want to involve
twisted in, the options left for me are py-Asterisk and pyst.
So I want to ask your opinion:

Dovecote IMAPSieve user scripts
Hello,
I wonder how to configure IMAPSieve with user scripts. I can't find much
information on the internet.
I have Sieve and IMAPSieve for spam configured as described in the wiki
and it works.
Documentation mentions that imapsieve_url has to be set to appropriate
ManageSieve server but no further explanation is given.
What I want to achieve: let users create their own sieve scripts and

Flat file as storage backend or what ...
Hi.
I''m just starting out with Rails. I''m thinking of writing a web based
PIM, partly as a learning experience, partly because I need one. I''ll
be using iCalendar and vCard files for for storage because it will let
me sync with PDAs, and use other already available PIMs.
What would be the best practice for this?

HELP with browsing and popups (Cont: Get popups)
I've got plenty of messages about "message command". Please don't talk me about
"message command". I have "message command" in my smb.conf. It seems to be
another problem: I can browse all groups in local network but anyone can't
find me in "Network neighboorhood" in Widows 9x.
I can receive popups only from boxes with samba (Linux boxes) and

popups, queue & agents
Hi everyone -
I have a nicely working system to which I'd like to add popups for
incoming calls. Calls go into a queue, then all extensions ring.
I'd like the agent that answers to call to get the popup on screen.
I'm currently using Flash Operator Panel to get a popup (other
suggestions welcome). Currently, all users get a popup when the call
first goes into the queue

Cross Browser Popups
Hi,
Does anybody have a little cross-browser piece of code
to resize a popup ?
Excatly, I don''t know if it is possible ?, I would like to open
a popup on the side of an existing window like if it would be a tabpane.
So reducing window width by the width of the popup, set the popup on
the side of the window. And the best of the best: when the window is
resize, resizing the popup also

Desktop Notifications/popups = steam apps hard freeze?
I'm not sure if this is a problem resulting from my PlayOnLinux app for handling the wine based applications. However whenever I get a popup or notification from my Ubuntu desktop it causes the Steam application to hard freeze, graphically only though.
Seeing as I then have to hit '`' and then quit (I have only valve based games)
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this

XP Pro password changing and popups
Hi,
I'm not sure how it's exactly done but XP Pro seems to block
winpopups during ctrl-alt-delete session (changing passwords,
workstation locking, etc) somehow.
I'd like to prevent people from password changing trials and
send them a popup like this:
smb.conf:
passwd program = my_script %m
my_script:
#!/bin/sh
echo "Please log to 'some machine' to change your

placement of redbox popups
Hi, I''ve got Redbox working -- very cool -- but I can''t find anything
in any documentation that says how to control where the popup is
placed. As of now, it is placed at the top of the page -- but my page
scrolls down considerably, and if I scroll down, then pop up a redbox,
it''s up at the top of the page, out of sight.
Any ideas?

Popups not appearing for leaflet using mxn 2.0.18
Good day,
I''m trying out the new Leaflet provider using the 2.0.18 release.
Unfortunately, I haven''t been able to get a marker bubble (popup) to
appear after clicking on the marker. I think my use of Mapstraction is
correct as I see a popup appear for the googlev3, ovi, and openlayers
providers when I switch with no other changes to my code.
Is there a step I''m

If it's impossible, what are the technical problems caused by such a request ?
Thank you

odd popups
Occasionally and without any action on my part, I get a popup
saying I need to authenticate in order to read others' actions.
I have no clue what this is for, so I always reject them.
Anyone got a clue?

Remote resources in kde-pim
For some time I have been using dovecot to serve imap mail on my LAN. Now I
want to add my diary and addressbook in kde-pim. I have got the docs from
the kde site, but they talk about cyrus, and I'm not able to translate some
bits of the instructions into dovecot ones. For instance,
"At cyrus level (in the PC that runs IMAP server cyrus, with cyrus tools), we

Outlook 2013/2010 nightmare
Hi All,
This is my first post so forgive me if this hits the wrong list.
I have been using dovecot for years happily with SendMail on mainly
CentOS servers, and my customers are starting to more and more use
Thunderbird, so my perfect model is:
Linux --> Dovecot --> SendMail --> Thunderbird (or mobile phone e-mail app).
I do have some customers using Outlook or Windows Live Mail,
