Fwd: KVM hook
Hi Team ,
I am reaching out to you seeking your help for one of my KVM hook script.
I am using /etc/libvirt/hooks/network file to trigger an event when a
network is created or deleted ( https://www.libvirt.org/hooks.html ).
Basically I using a rest call to create the same network in my Infoblox
appliance for the network monitoring.
However every time I create a network only $2== start or

Wine on LynxOS-178 and Bluecat
Hi,
We're working on a project to port a software to the Linux environment. However, our target platform will be Bluecat and LynxOS-178. Bluecat and LynxOS-178 are embedded Linux Operating Systems. Does anyone have any experience in getting Wine to work for these OS? Also, in theory, will we be able to build Wine for embedded Linux platforms?
Thanks,

RES: another aov results interpretation question
Dear All,
I created a script to calculate averages - two groups: "parcel" and
"date" - and, based on these averages, make a graph. The problem is that
'R' does not recognize the first column even if I try to insert one.
A brief example
Raw data:
Data <- sample(1:100, 30, replace = FALSE, prob = NULL)

Basic matematical functions with NAs
Dear All,
I've tried to sum columns -- different species of flowers, fruits plus twigs -- with NAs to get litterfall/trap, and then after use litterfall to calculate production (litterfall (grams)/ hectare/ day. But R 'sees' litterfall/trap as a string.
My question: How to use basic mathematical functions to deal with NAs in data management.
Example (as you can note I have many

Samba AD with external DNS server
Hallo,
We have Samba4 (Sernet, Version4.1) on a Debian Wheezy server. There we try to
use our Infoblox (It is our primary and secondary DNS server) as an external DNS
server for the active directory on the samba4 server. It doesn?t matter which
setup option (Samba_internal, bind_dlz, none) we use it doesn?t work.

aggregate and stack
Dear All,
I have tried to calculate tree mean growth but I think the structure I used below (growthresumo) is not the most elegant, even though it worked. The only problem I had in this first part was that I cannot use 'summary', just 'mean' (sorry but 'R' is pretty new for me).

7960 TFTP
Are there any known issues with Cisco 7960s and any particular TFTP
daemons? I cannot seem to get mine to speak to a Linux box, but
Solarwinds under Windows works like a charm.

All good questions. Thanks for taking time to respond. You've given me
great leads to follow up w/ DHCP appliance consultant.

Convincing libvirt to create a bridge device?
I was hoping that I could delegate creation of bridge devices to
libvirt for address-less bridges, in order to not have to deal with
the various ways distributions handle persistent network
configuration, but while this creates a libvirt network...

Enterprise-class monitoring system for CentOS and Win2k3 server
Can anyone recommend an enterprise-class monitoring system for both
Linux and Windows servers? Here are my requirements:
SNMP trap collection, ability to import custom MIBs
isup/isdown monitoring of ports and daemons
Server health monitors (CPU, Disk, Memory, etc)
SLA reporting with nice graphs
Pager/Email/SMS alerts with groups, filters and escalations
Built-in MTBF and MTTR reporting

R equivalent to Matlab's Bayes net toolbox
Hi,
I'm attending summer School at UCLA (IPAM) on "probabilistics models of
cognition". I have been an R-user since v. 1.4.1, but was trained in the
frequentist tradition (as most psychologists!). I found that all faculty
here use matlab and Murphy's bayes net toolbox. I have not had the need to
use matlab before, and would love to stick to R for graphics models and

Domain join hardening changes, trusted user
Hello,
we manage our Samba AD via an external IPAM/IDM (the AD is only one of several
backends) and use a system user to create, modify and delete the objects
including machine accounts in LDAP. All necessary rights are explicitly
delegated to this system user, who is not a member of the ?Domain Admins?
group.
This has been causing problems when joining Windows machines for some time.

Diamond graphs, again.
Some time ago I was allowed to discuss "Diamond Graphs", and whether
they would be useful in R, in this mailing list.
The August 2003 issue of The American Statistician has finally arrived
here and I have been able to read the article. A number of points of
interest arise.

issues with "write.table"
Dear R gurus and users,
I'm having problems with the use of write.table.
I have a 28-variables data frame create at each cycle of a loop; it can contain between 2000 and 3000 rows for each cycle.
After each cycle the data frame is written out to a file with the "append=TRUE" option and then removed from memory.
These are the couple of lines involved:

problems with rgl in Ubuntu 'gutsy'
Dear R users/gurus,
I have recently installed Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) on my Dell Latitude D520.
First time for me, as I have always used Fedora.
R installation using "apt" has proceeded fine, both for r-base and r-base-dev.
Next, I need to install various other packages, "rgl" being first in the line.
I have sorted some preliminaries by installing headers for X11 and Mesa:
