Parking lot problems
Now on to another problem that we've had as far as I know since the
beginning of using Asterisk 9+ months ago. I've been trying very hard
to knock this problem out but regardless of what I do, it's still there.
So, the problem is, when a call is in the parking lot, it then times out
after whatever time frame and dials the extension that put it on hold.
After 60 seconds of ringing

Multiple parking lots use default park positions
Hello, all. I'm having a deeply frustrating time getting multiple
parking lots to work and am wondering what I am doing wrong. I am using
Asterisk 1.6.1.1. I defined two separate parking lots in features.conf
as follows:
[parkinglot_a100] ; SSI
context => a100-parking
parkpos => 900-920
findslot => next
[parkinglot_a10] ; EBC
context => a10-parking
parkpos => 800-820

1.6.2: Using hints on multiple parking lots
Hi,
How do I specify to which parking lot the hints refer to?
For exemple, on 1.4 I use this to see whether a call is parked in 800:
exten => 800,hint,park:800 at parkedcalls
But on 1.6 I have multiple parking lots working apparently sucessfully. How
do I build the hint for parkinglot1 and parkingloit2 so that my phone ,
which is subscribing to 800, only see parkinglot1 and

multiple parking lot best practice
We are planning to have about 100+ parking lots defined in features.conf , each with about 4 unique park positions. Asterisk will be handling all the parking and unparking (we don't exclusively use Park/ParkedCall in the dialplan):
[parkinglot_a]
parkpos => 1-4
context=parked
[parkinglot_b]
parkpos => 5-8
context=parked
As far as I can tell, Asterisk adds/removes extensions to the

Asterisk 1.8 Multiple Parking Lots
Hello,
Recently we have been using asterisk 1.6 and everything worked ok, all our productions server are 1.6. Recently we have upgraded one to 1.8 and multiple parking call are not working, which worked pretty ok on asterisk 1.6. Are there any major changes in asterisk 1.8 related to park call and multiple parking lots. Bellow is my config from asterisk 1.6 which worked, I`ve tried this in 1.8

2nd Parking Lot
Does anybody know of a way to make another parking lot for version 1.2? We have a multi-tenant setup and it is set for x700 for parking. Well we added some new users and not thinking, we assigned them x700. I can't change the parking number as it will mess up the other users and the new user with x700 doesn't want to change. I was hoping there was some trickery that I can do to create

Parking Lot CallerID
Is there anyway of storing an incoming calls CallerID on a parked call
and having it restored when someone picks up the parked call?
I've tried storing the CID as a global variable and restoring it in my
dialplan, and while NoOp shows it working, the phone ignores it and uses
the parking lot extension for callerid instead. I believe this is
because the phone is calling out instead of a call

parking - why doesn't this work?
I'm trying to implement parking with only one button to park and unpark a call.
Scenario:
Call is answered, I press the button (on a Cisco SPA504) to park the call, it comes to [from-office] context where the call is parked successfully (there is no parking lot number announcement though).
To unpark, I press the same button, it comes to [from-office] context, and the call is picked

Call Parking Realtime
Does anyone have any examples of using realtime database driven call
parking lots. I am on version 1.8.x
My goal is to be able to do database driven multi-tenant parking lots with
out adding sperate entries into Features.conf for each lot. I also need to
be able to use the same parking extension pool for each tenant but sand box
them into sperate lots. We have been able to do this for every

Number of parked calls in a parking lot
Is there a way to find out the no of parked calls in a parking lot by name (in a multiple parking lot environment) from within the dialplan (not CLI) other than writing a custom function (like VMCOUNT)?
Thanks,
Matt

Polycom IP601 call parking
One more Polycom IP601 question please (sorry for the long intro here
to document) ...
In order to closely approximate the behavior of the previous telephone
system that many of the users are familiar with, I have set up call
parking like this:
- features.conf [general] section contains:
parkext => ** ; What extension to dial to park
parkpos => 10-11 ; What

Multiple Parking Lots in Asterisk 1.6.x
I thought 1.6x could have more than 1 parking lot. I have searched
high and low and can't find any docs on it, samples or examples.
Was I wrong? I need a 2nd parking lot for the sales department and
thought I could have a default parking lot at 70 with slots from 71
to 74 and a 2nd one at 75 with slots from 76 to 79.
Is this doable?

Call Parking with multiple lots
Hi List,
I need to have one PBX but have multiple call parking for many different
context. Basically for hosted VoIP, anyway this can be achineved? We really
want to use the Snom's or something like that with a light on the phone so
we can what caller is in each parking space/line. I have not seen anyway to
do this, any ideals anyone?
Thanks!

Multiple parking lots - 1.6
Hi,
I am trying to find documents on multiple parking lots in Asterisk 1.6,
which was announced as a new feature. Although 1.6 has been out a while, I
see no info on how to set this up.
The wiki is stuck in the past (apr 2008). Is there anything available on
how to create multiple parking lots on a single Asterisk install?
Thank you,
Mike

Multiple parking lot
Hi list,
Does anyone know any ways to have mutiple parking lots? I've got a pbx
that 2 customers share, both need their own, and then have lights on
the phone flash when they park the call (snom phones). Any ideals I'm
not thinking of?!?
Any help would be great!
Thanks

Parking lot
Is there any way to have Asterisk call an extension in dial plan instead of
original extension after timeout?
Like extension A puts the caller in parking lot, he leaves the phone and
forgets about it, instead of having that phone rings after timeout, have a
group of phones rings.

Does Flash Operator Panel allow for dragging a call into a parking lot?
Hi Everyone,
If I receive a call on a ZAP line and pickup the call and drag and drop it
(by mouse) into a Parking Lot through FOP, it just hangs up. Is this feature
supported by FOP?
Thanks,
Bruce

AEL2 Hint & Parking
I've been reading most of the day and can't seem to find a clear
definition of the syntax for parking lot hints in AEL2. I have tried
all of the following and they either do not light up the line button on
my Snom 300 or give syntax errors:
hint(park/701) 701 => {
ParkedCall(701);
}
hint(park:701) 701 => {
ParkedCall(701);
}
hint(park/701 at parkedcalls) 701 =>
