Zaptel FXO offhook when connected to PSTN
I installed Trixbox and a TDM400P with 2 FXO and 2 FXS ports and am having an annoying issue with the FXO ports. As soon as I plug either one into the phone line it's as though the line is disconnected i.e. get disconnected tone when trying to dial out, line is busy when dialling in. The CLI shows the following: trixbox1*CLI> zap show channel 4 Channel: 4 File Descriptor: 18 Span: 11*

BRIstuff/OctoBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all, I just posted this question before last week. Meanwhile after upgrading Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCg to 1.0.8-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCh the same problem occurs, but seems to be more seldom. Attached is now the output of "zap show channel" . - I'm running a stable Asterisk on a HP DL380G2 1.4Ghz 0,5GB RAM equipped with 1x TE410P and 2xJunghanns OctoBRI running in NT-mode.

Call Waiting broken on ZAP
Problem: *Call* *waiting* comes in, I press flash to answer it, and the first caller gets disconnected after 3 seconds. This is all ZAP - no VOIP. System: Analog stations and trunks running on a pair of TDM400's. It does NOT have * call* *waiting* from the phone company, and I have enabled it in all my conf files. The trunks are set to FXSKS and the stations are FXOKS. I am not using *call*

Flash hook & hangup problem
Hello. I'm trying to transfer calls from an analog phone (Zap/1, TDM400P card) to some other terminal connected to my Asterisk PBX. If I make a flash hook pressing the phone hangup button quickly it works as expected, I get a new dialtone and the other side is put on hold. But I would like to use my phone's "R" key instead for some different reasons (it's quite easier to use

Problem with flash hook
Hi, I facing a problem with flash hook. When ever I do a flash hook to place an extsing call on hold, the call gets disconnected. The debugs on Asterisk shows that 'on hook event detected' when I press the flash button on the phone. The setup is like this Asterisk box with T1 cards and FXS cards. The T1 card is connected to an IAD and configured for ISDN PRI lines. Analog phones come

odd behavior - adtran ta 850 + t100p
I've been working with an adtran ta 850 hooked to a t100p pretty much all day today, and I haven't gotten past configuring zaptel.conf and zapata.conf. For some reason, when I pick up analog phone hooked up to the first module of a quad fxs card in the second slot of the ta 850, asterisk thinks that all four of the fxs modules in that card are going off hook. If I pick up a phone hooked

PRI error cause hangup calls
Dear all, When I make a call using my PRI line, all goes well, but suddently the call hangs up. I searched the asterisk logs, and I found that. Write to 55 failed: Unknown error 500 Short write: 0/15 (Unknown error 500) What does this mean? Why this occurs? How could I solve that? Someone could tell me if it was a primary error (the primary shows red alert in all its channels) or it could be a

unable to create channel, in strange state, exited non-zero, etc.
I'm having various issues that may or may not be related to each other (I'm pretty sure they are). We've had this system for a year now (quad T1 card, right now we have 1 T1 coming in, 2 going out to channel banks) and we've had intermittent "ghost" calls--it appears that what is happening is a call is made, the number being called is disconnected/busy/answering

Red alarms
Asterisk is getting red alarms on my T1, sometimes once or twice a day, but today it happened 5 times. Even once is too many. Every call in progress is dropped. Please help! What do I need to do? What can I try? I've googled and searched this list and can't find anything. Here's an example from the logs: Feb 7 13:37:54 WARNING[32451] chan_zap.c: Detected alarm on channel 6: Red

Random Zap port going crazy When channel released after a flash.
On 1.2.x I have a random problem when a Zap/x channel flashes to transfer or make a three way call. The Zap/x-2 channel is created and the transfer or three way proceeds, but on hangup the Zap/x-1 channel fails to destroy the old bridge and asterisk goes crazy logging the problem. Here is an example debug log. This happens only once a day or so, with 100 or so users transfering and three

Zap channel billing on busy tone!
Here is a log from a recent call made out on a ZAP channel from a SIP phone inside my network. For some reason, CDR is billing time even though the "busy tone" was detected. It's also logging the call as ANSWERED. Is this normal behavior? Seems a little odd to me. I have this as the first 3 lines of my zapata.conf [channels] busydetect=1 busycount=3 CVS HEAD updated late
