ExtenSpy Problem
Hi I'm trying to get ExtenSpy to work but it wont, I'm dialling a number from my mobile which comes into our server and answering the number on a particular SIP extension which all works fine. I'm then dialling an exten from my own SIP extension which executes the ExtenSpy for the correct extension but I hear nothing. Here is the output in the CLI -- Executing

Answered call not bridged
Hi I've suddenly started encountering a strange issue. Sometimes, when a call is made into our system, an extension answered the phone but I can see no mention of it being bridged in the console. Also, the server does not seem to think that it is answered and then goes to voicemail. We are using asterisk 1.4.17 Here is the console output for one of these calls, it was me ringing a

Asterisk 1.4.38 - unknown signalling bri_cpe
Hi, we upgraded an Asterisk 1.4 with mISDN to 1.6 with chan_dahdi. Due to problems with iax channel posted earlier, we wanted to switch back to 1.4 version. Server has 2 HBA cards, everything is running fine with 1.6, bri_cpe is recognized and the 7 euroISDN channels are running well, ingoing and outgoing. Now we installed 1.4.38 version and no more ISDN. In logs we found this: [2010-12-24

1.4.38 passing a Regular expression containing a pipe character to a macro ?
Howdy, I'm working on a macro that authenticates the calling extension against a list of allowed extensions but it looks like the Expression I'm attempting to send of pipe separated extensions is showing up as additional arguments to my macro. I expected to have 4 arguments to the below macro, Instead it looks like I'm actually getting 6. I'm open to suggestions to other ways

Does this tell me anything? Traffic report
I'm trying to get Samba up and running and having a terrible time. It says that I should be able to run nmap and see that 137 and 139 are open - which they are not. I have not added any restrictions in smb.conf, do not have a firewall running and I have increased the log level to 5 to see all of the messages. It says that it is talking on 137 but it kind of looks like it's not talking

Completely isolating P2P/BitTorrent traffic
Hi all, I''m tring to isolate P2P traffic, specifically BitTorrent, for my QoS scripts. I can''t seem to completely isolate ALL BitTorrent traffic. I identify & mark packets and then use tc filters to put them into appropriate classes. My firewall rules (below) do the markings. My VoIP boxes'' and ICMP traffic get highest priority (mark 1). Then comes DNS, SSH,

Profiles -- default user ntuser.dat not being used at first logon
I'm trying to set up for my small school lab: Samba as PDC, 11 workstations running XP Pro, roaming profiles with folder redirection. (I finally got the workstations to join the domain by adding them by hand--so I assume something is wrong with my add machine script, but I'll address that issue later, since I have only the 11 XP boxes to deal with.) Now I'm working on getting the

dnsmasq centos 7
HI I setup dnsmasq on my computer. I tested with an entry in /etc/hosts for laptop.w530 I tested with "host laptop.w530" and I get unresolved (expected). If I add "nameserver 192.168.1.8" (my computer) to top of /etc/resolv.conf and do "host laptop.w530" I get 192.168.1.105 - so seems to be working. Then I goto another machine, add the "nameserver

Access problem: root Ok, but not home
I've just done an out-of-the-box RHEL6 (SL6, actually) install, but can't get the Samba config quite right. system-config-samba has gone in RHEL6, which hasn't helped. If I set up a root section: [root] comment = SL6 / path = / writeable = yes valid users = paul then I can access '/' from XP without problems. If I instead (or as well) set up a section for myself:

Codec order sent wrong from Asterisk
I'm communicating a softphone (SJPhone) to a Grandstream phone GXP-2000. The codec order on each one is the next: SJPhone: GSM - iLBC - PCMA - PCMU GXP2000: G729 - GSM - PCMA - PCMU (I have a G729 license, so there's no problem with transcoding G729) In my sip.conf, I've defined the following codec order: disallow=all allow=g729 allow=gsm allow=g726 allow=alaw allow=ulaw And my

Can connect directly, but not browse samba server from Windows Workgroup network
Dear Samba gurus, I have a Fedora 8 linux server, running samba 3.0.28a-0.fc8. I am doing the simplest thing of all - exposing a public read-only share within MS Workgroup environment. My server has a fixed local IP address (192.168.1.200) and it's on the same subnet as the rest of the machines. The server and machines are connected to a 24 port CISCO switch. My problem is that I can

Samba can't find its hostname via broadcast
Hello. I'm using Samba 3.0.25a on FreeBSD-6.0. Samba is configured to be a PDC. Samba can't find its hostname via nmblookup: $ nmblookup -B 192.168.1.255 frontier querying frontier on 192.168.1.255 name_query failed to find name frontier If I query Samba via unicast, it answers OK: $ nmblookup -U frontier frontier querying frontier on 192.168.1.31 192.168.1.31 frontier<00> Also,
