GSM Gateway
Hello,
I am looking for a gsm gateway that is SIP based i.e no need of FXO/FXS
analogue connection.
I searched the email archives and found messages from 2008 but not sure
how accurate these are.
What do you use and how well it works ? The only sensible one I found
is one made by portech and one that is made by Eurodesign.
The one from portech is like a trunk while the one from eurodesign

SIP <> GSM
I'd like to add a device to my Asterisk server to leverage my cellular
account. Does anyone on-list have experience with hardware gateways vs
using cah_bluetooth and an old cell phone?
I'm considering something like http://www.mobigater.com/index.php?p=5
Thanks,
Michael

Asterisk 1.6 SSH Console Colors Debian Lenny
Hi All,
I'm running * 1.6.0.28 on Debian Lenny. The init'd script starts the
asterisk daemon not the safe_asterisk daemon so when asterisk is
running and I ssh tot he server then 'asterisk -vr' to attach to the
asterisk console there are no colors. If I use the safe_asterisk
script to start asterisk, the colors are fine when I attach through
SSH.
I found this in the init

Queue member status not changing
I have an Asterisk 1.6.0.28 system, with a queue called 'marketing'. Everything appears normal, but the status of the members never changes from 'not in use', even if they are being rang or are in a call.
Members are added like so:
queue add member SIP/1406 to marketing penalty 0 as SIP/1406 state_interface SIP/1406
And they are present as a hint:

Success story
Hi,
we have a PC based controller system for fuel stations
and an in-house 16 bit Delphi keygen application for that
that uses Report Smith and DBE. I am happily report that with
Wine-20040121.tar.gz Report Smith+BDE installs flawlessly
and after setting up the data source, our keygen also work
flawlessly. With the last month' Wine-20031212.tar.gz, wine
just segfaulted when I tried to run

Using unix paths in console mode wine apps
Hi,
is there an environment variable that enables plain Unix
filenames in Wine applications?
I need to cross compile PostgreSQL and some third party modules
on my Fedora 15 system to 64-bit Windows. PostgreSQL uses its
"pg_config" for 3rd party code to tell the include dir, compile flags, etc:
[zozo at localhost postgis-1.5.3]$ /usr/x86_64-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/bin/pg_config.exe

Wine WMF vulnerability?
Hi,
I recently read about that Wine is vulnerable against the WMF bug
that was recently closed on Windows. Is it really true?
Is Wine really as bug-for-bug compatible with Windows? :-)

How to print to file?
Hi,
I have some problems with a Hungarian tax software,
finally it's usable with wine-0.9.25 but it seems printing
is broken. The print preview shows the correct sheets
and the print dialog shows my installed CUPS printer.
But when I actually print, it seems it uses wingdings or
some symbol font. How can I redirect WINEPS output
to a file so I could diagnose the .ps file? It may be that

Re: Wine segmentation fault (Solution)
Hello, i had this problem, until i read that i had to remove this line on
/etc/sysctl.conf:
vm.legacy_va_layout = 1
When i removed it and rebooted it began working again =)
Please notice i'm using Arch Linux, if you aren't using it then this fix MAY
not work for you.
Good luck!
See ya!

Direct DVD-RW access possible?
Hi,
I found that my DVD-RW supports LabelFlash/DiskT@2
and after killing the SCSI command filter in the kernel
I was able to successfully burn labels on some DVD-Rs
with Nero 7 Premium as well as Yamaha's LabelFlash
Index Maker from VMWare.
Is it possible to access the DVD-RW directly from Wine
so I don't have to use VMWare for this task?
BTW, LabelFlash Index Maker happily runs with

Which version of DirectX 9 does Wine support?
Hi,
I came across a game demo, Shrek the third.
The installation went almost smoothly, but the
installation directory it went into was
C:\Program Files\My Product Name
instead of the suggested default:
C:\Program Files\SHReK the THiRD
The demo said it requires DirectX 9c and indeed
it doesn't run because it needs d3dx9_32.dll.
It seems Wine doesn't provide this DLL currently.

unsuccessful domain logon on WinXP with nss-mysql
Dear Colleagues,
I successfully installed Samba-3.0.14a-Debian for a set of Windows 98
workstations for ~900 users in a grammar school in Hungary. I am using
nss-mysql-1.0 for authentication and Samba also uses it perfectly.
Unfortunately, I have no success in the same network under Windows XP. If I
try to use standard Unix authentication via /etc/{passwd,shadow,group}, then
I also have correct

Originate Response.
Hi to all.
I am conducting several tests with the Asterisk manager and I noticed
something that I believe to be a problem.
When I generate a call with the Action Originate with the Async option true,
the event OriginateResponse returns normally. But when I generate a call in
the same way, without the Async option, the event OriginateResponse does not
come.
Is this a bug? It was fixed in some
