Various extensions ring once and go to voicemail - Thomas Peters
Carlos and Stefan (and other who have helped):
I DON'T HAVE the res_timing_timerfd.so file. Can I build it? Recompiling Asterisk is unrealistic in my position but I wonder if I can build the one module. Here's what I do have:
apbx:~ $ locate *res_timing_timerfd*
/usr/src/asterisk-1.8.23.1/res/.res_timing_timerfd.makeopts
/usr/src/asterisk-1.8.23.1/res/.res_timing_timerfd.moduleinfo

proper use of Internal Timing
Hi All,
Could anyone tell me the real use of "internal_ timing=yes" option on asterisk.conf file? I am using asterisk 1.4.22.
As per my understanding if we don't have any TDM card installed with appropriate driver, we use internal_timing = yes to get the timing from ztdummy /ztDahdi.
Is there any advantage on enabling "internal_timing=yes" even if we are proving timing

Really Funky Samba Errors (smbd/nttrans.c:call_nt_transact_ioctl)
Hi All,
I'm experiencing some really funky Samba errors, and I'm hoping that some
of you might have some ideas. This only happens sporadically, and when it
does, I loose Samba connectivity for a while. Here are my Samba logs:

LLD: targeting cygwin
COFF lld doesn't support the linker script at the moment, and I'm sad to
say that it is very unlikely to support that in the future. Linker script
support is so huge that I can't imagine we really want it for COFF. GNU BFD
linker supports it because the linker is built as an interpreter for the
built-in linker script (and that's one of the reasons why GNU linker is by

LLD: targeting cygwin
Hello, I have a user who is trying to get LLD to link for the cygwin
target: https://github.com/zig-lang/zig/issues/751
Currently the issue they are running into is needing to define a linker
script, but the COFF driver (or MinGW driver) does not have support for
that.
Is there documentation or advice for how to use LLD to link for cygwin? As
a starting point, which driver to use?
Regards,

Is that the only problem to use lld to link cygwin programs?

Funky routing
map.connect '':controller/:action/:id'', :requirements => { :id =>
/^(.html)/ }
The requirement is turning all of my routes into /foo?id=54354 instead
of /foo/54354
Why?

acts_as_taggable Generating Funky SQL
I am using acts_as_taggable in my application and on the tagging side of
things, no problem at all. Running edge Rails and PostgreSQL 8.1.
I am then trying to find all my AR objects with a certain tag. The tag is:
lasvegas and I know that there are at least 3 records with that tag.
So, I''m doing this:
@lists = List.find_tagged_with :any => @search_string, :separator =>

time_zone_select Acting Funky
I am using time_zone_select for the first time:
<%= time_zone_select(''user'', ''default_timezone'') %>
I have an instance variable called user and that model has an attribute
called ''default_timezone''.
The list displays and when I submit the form, I see it sends the data:

Funky quota things
Hi guys,
I already use Dovecot for imap/pop3 with some simple quota options.
I'm starting to look at the switch from maildrop to dovecot lda and
I'm wondering whether it's possible to do our unusual quota management
with the quota plugin.
We have the users total quota in MySQL along with a number of grace
days (counts up to 7). The amount of space used is stored in
maildirsize in the

Early Media Issue
Hi all
I've got an issue where when I call a number that just plays early media
back to me.
Instead of hearing the full sequence of tones I hear a short ringing then
part of the sequence. What seems odd is that I can see
the telephone-event/8000 being passed up the chain but when it gets to
Asterisk, it is never sent back to the phone. Instead I just see the usual
RTP flows.

Funky password mount point error for liveice and icecast - PLZ HL P!
Im running in a chroot'd environment:
RH 9.0
lame-3.93.1
icecast-2.0.0
LiveIcePatched-1.0.0
xmms-1.2.7
I was able to get icecast running on port 8000, I was able to get liveice
compiled and can see the .so file within xmms. Im pretty sure I have xmms
configured to match my icecast config(passwords and mount points for source
match). When I start up xmms I get the following error in my
