virt-install creates a snapshot as the volume backend
Greetings All, I was running libvirt-0.9.10 on CentOS 6.3 and it was working perfectly until yesterday when I decided to update to 6.4, which upgraded libvirt-0.9.10 to libvirt-0.10.2. I have a storage pool of type volume group, upon upgrading to libvirt-0.10.2, the disk image gets created as a snapshot on the volume group not as a regular volume. Now every time I create a vm using

Speex API for use with .Net applications
Hi, I'm Ossama Khayat, an Arab .Net Framework developer. I'm interested in building an API or COM component, of the speex codec, that is suitable for use in a Windows Forms application. This will be used in an Open Source project that will hopefully be hosted in Source Forge one done. I tried downloading the source code and compiling it but really couldn't do much with it, especially

ast 1.2.x - cisco 7970 behind nat to external asterisk with no nat
Hi All, As the subject describes, has anyone gotten this to work? I am running an asterisk 1.2.16 server, and am trying to register my cisco 7970 remotely to it, but it just won't go. I am running 1.4.2 internally and the phone registers fine to it. I'm using the latest firmware (i think) - 8.2.1S On the server in question I have tried the following for the sip declaration:

NAT keep-alive
Hi, On my linksys/sipura phones/ATA, there is a setting called "NAT Mapping Enable" and another called "NAT Keep Alive Enable" These settings must be on in my setup so that my phones/ATA remain connected to my * server. My setup is: Home LAN - Pfsense (NAT, Dynamic Public IP)- Internet - PFsense (1-to-1 NAT, Static public IP) - Asterisk server. I was wondering:

Wrong battery.date variable value
Kevin, As Matthijs noted, pfSense uses a circular log file. The default size is ~500KB, which can be a bit small. You can increase the log file size by changing the “Log file size” parameter on the Log management page. Look for the wrench symbol on the system log page (Status / System Logs / System / General). Note that you have to clear the log after changing its size. FWIW, I have mine set to

Wrong battery.date variable value
Hi, I installed apcupsd through pfsense and noticed some discrepancy with the NUT package. I'm not sure if this is a bug regarding the BATTDATE (apcupsd) and battery.date (NUT) but BATTDATE shows the correct date of 2016/05/11. While NUT shows the battery.date as 2001/09/25 which doesn't make sense. Any ideas? Pfsense 2.4.3-RELEASE-p1 (amd64) NUT 2.7.4_6 NUT installed through

Q: Samba AD, Pfsense, Windows 10, vpn
I only have some experience with OPNsense but maybe you can relate: - In my case it was always the certificate.? - I had to add the cert to the system certs using CLI. Adding them in the WebGUI was not enough. - Port 636 did not work for me, only 389 using STARTTLS Hope that helps... On 16. March 2020 at 08:13:50, Stefan G. Question: Samba and YP-Yellow Pages relation.
Hi Rowland, First of all, thanks Much for the message. Appreciate it! Here more details... The users do not log into the pfSense. The Samba is being used to authenticate users with the proxy (squid) in a pfsense environment (Freebsd) The PfSense box is added to the AD Domain as a "Member" only, so that way the proxy can authenticate against the AD via NTLM/Kerberos. Here is part of my

Hi, I followed the "Optimizing CentOS for gigabit firewall" posting and as some posters wrote pf is soo sooo ssooooo mutch faster, I was thinking to give it a try. But I'm not familier to BSD so I was looking for some tools and found "pfsense" http://www.pfsense.org/ "pfSense is a free, open source customized distribution of FreeBSD tailored for use as a

NUT messes up UPS after mains power is restored
Hi Charles, Ok. I'm testing NUT now with only pfsense running as the master and no slaves. I'm noticing a very strange behavior that totally doesn't make sense to me. So here's what I did (in chronological order): 1. Set override.battery.charge.warning to 55 and override.battery.charge.low to 50. 2. I started with a full charge battery and unplugged the UPS from the mains.

Q: Samba AD, Pfsense, Windows 10, vpn
Your pfSense firewall has OpenVPN built into it already, and you can point pfSense authentication back to your samba AD. We support over 400 users in this model. The configuration file for OpenVPN is common to all users, and they authenticate with their AD credentials. > On Mar 14, 2020, at 7:21 AM, Michael Howard via samba <samba at lists.samba.org> wrote: > > On 14/03/2020

Samba4 Windows Client Time Sync Issue
I just realized that some of my Windows 10 clients do not appear to be syncing the time correctly. I setup NTP to run on my Netgate PFSense server. It is using pfsense.pool.ntp.org Time Servers. I configured NTP on my Samba servers to point to back to the PFSense Server. NTP on the samba servers have the following ntp.conf files: # /etc/ntp.conf, configuration for ntpd; see ntp.conf(5) for

Question: Samba and YP-Yellow Pages relation.
Hello Everyone, I am pretty new on this SAMBA list, so greetings! I have a technical question about the relation of SAMBA and YP (Yellow Pages/ NiS) I´ve been learning on how to make my Firewall/proxy solution (based on FREEBSD/PfSense) to have a trust-relationship with the Microsoft AD/Domain so I can have Single Sign-on with NTLM/Kerberos integration. PfSense has the YP (Yellow Pages) disabled
