Enabling MySQL UNIQUE from cdr.conf
Hi,
Is there a way to enable the usage of UNIQUEID CDR field using a MySQL
database backend for storing CDRs without having to recompile
asterisk-addons as stated here
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cdr+mysql ?
After version 1.4 it is said in release that it can be done (not sure if it
applies to mysql backend)
How would it be the syntax in cdr.conf? I tried this without success in

Determination of billsec
How is the billsec field calculated in CDRs?
I have a situation where billsec is being reported as 0 despite the call
being answered and a conversation occurring. An example record follows:
'2007-11-06 21:36:50', '6495566778', '6495566778', '0116495566778',

SIP devide call-forward behaviour and CDRs
Hi,
I am migrating some billing code from 1.2 to 1.6 cdr output. Mostly
this is not too bad, but I have a scenario where some data appears to
be "lost"
Call from SIP/100 to SIP/200, but the SIP/200 device is programmed to
send a redirect to extension 1234. chan_sip creates a
Local/1234 at context call, which has its own CDR.
In 1.2, the CDR records look something like:

CDR billsec issue with calls forwarded through the Local channel
Hi
I'm using asterisk 1.8.23.1 but I've seen this same issue in previous
versions of 1.8. I have created some work arounds but the behaviour is
incorrect.
This is the scenario:
Call comes in and goes to appropriate dialplan
In the dialplan the call is forwarded to another number using a Local
channel (and using /n ) e.g.
Dial(Local/<my-number>@outbound-context/n,60)
The number is

CDR Desgin
I've taken the liberty of starting a new thread to discuss the design
of the Asterisk CDR mechanism. The discussion has been kindly
initiated by murf putting together a proposal:
http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/team/murf/RFCs.
After reading the proposal I still don't think it's the right way to
go. To my mind adding more channel variables increases the complexity

Simple CDRs
Greyman--
I'm taking this discussion to the list.
Folks,
what we are talking about here, is me trying to get a grasp around
Greyman's (Aaron's) request for a bare-bones CDR generation
that describes just total connect time for channels, stripping
out all the details. Who cares about xfer, park, hold, etc.?
So in the following is our discussion about what *should* be
there, and in

Function IMPORT and Local channels
Hi all
These questions were asked back in 2009 at lists.digium.com and got unanswered:
- Has someone been successful in using IMPORT on a Local channel ?
- Is there a known limitation in doing so ?
I run into the same problem.
${IMPORT(Local/1234 at example-abcd;2,CALLERID(dstchannel))} returns nothing.
But I can read the dstchannel for it into the CDR.
Asterisk is 11.7.0~dfsg-1ubuntu1

Digium IP Phones
Hello,
Im looking to buy a digium phone D70 unit just for testing on lab; to
really understand the phone and features.
I cant find any website with opinions; any here? Are they really valuable
to the price? (D70 quite expensive)
Does the SDK for building apps is usable? Can you build powerfull apps?
Examples?
Many thanks
