Polling DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone?
Hi, Is there a way to poll the DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to implement DND + BLF on asterisk. However, the DND softkey on the Linksys phone does not send any feature codes to asterisk. On the flip side, if you disable the Vertical Activation Codes on the phone, then dialing the feature code doesn't display 'Do Not Disturb' on the

BLF and call-limit in 1.8
Hello We have recently upgraded our internal PBX from 1.4 to 1.8. This made the BLF lamps on our Polycom phones stop working. After a lot of googling and a lot of testing, I have been unable to find a solution. I did try to change the call-limit value from 4 to 1, and this actually made BLF work (noone suggested this, and what documantation I can find states that this option is deprecated). This

BLF support in Asterisk and early/confirmed/terminated/proceeding NOTIFY states.
I have a setup with Yealink phones & Asterisk Server (all latest patches). I am using BLF to display the states of other phones. While this works MOST of the time (busy, being called) it does NOT work when a phone is NOT regisstered at all, the yealink phones display a green dot EVEN if a phone is turned off (try explain this to users, they are shaking their heads!!!) I can see on the

BLF call pickup on Linksys SPA932
Greetings list, We recently installed some Linksys SPA962 + SPA932 sidecars into a client's offices. The BLF functionality works fine, but call pickup using the BLF is something of an issue. Following the advice on voip-info.org, I configured part of their dialplan as follows: exten => _**2XX,1,Pickup(SIP/${EXTEN:2}) exten => _**2XX,n,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:2},15,tw) exten =>

Polycom Do Not Disturb button and asterisk hints
Hi, Is there ANY way for me to see the status of the Polycom DND buttons in the Asterisk hints? I`m using the BLF buttons to see the status of other people`s lines, and DND should logically be somehow reflected (I don`t care as much about Polycom showing the BLF button as DND, but I do care about Asterisk hints showing it in the CLI). Right now, a Polycom phone on DND shows up as being

SNOM Red LED on DND or unregistered Phone
Hello, I have BLF working on Snom phones. Ringing state (blinking) or "on the phone" state (solid) are working well. So the buttons are configured as "BLF" in the Snom webinterface. Now I would like to add another state for unavailable or dnd. In fact I would like to turn the LED red in the case the phone is not registered or the user pushed the DND button. So I though

Manipulate extension state in 1.8.x

Busy Lamp Fields
Hi all A quick question about busy lamps I have lamps working 'sort-of' on my GXP2000 lamps flash with ringing and go solid red when call gets answered but stay green when a call is made from the extension. Setup is Ext 200, 201, 202, each monitor the other two when 200 calls 202 - the BLF on 200 and 201 flash red - when 202 answers both 200 and 201 show BLF for 200 as red but

BLF/Call Pickup using SPA942, SPA962, SPA932
Hi all, There are a lot of posts around the web about my question; unfortunately I have not been able to get any of the solutions to work. I'm using Asterisk 1.6.2.8 under CentOS 5.5. I'm trying to get call pickup working for the secretaries that monitor their bosses' phones. The BLF and the speed dial works great on the Linksys phones. Call pickup is the problem. My features.conf

SPA-932 BLF Stays solid red for single extension
The receptionist at one of our offices called today to stay that there is an extension on the SPA-932 console that has been solid red for a few days now. He has restarted the console and we restarted the phone in question. Still the light stays solid red despite the fact that there are no calls in progress. Since this isn't happening on any other extension I am not sure what to look at.

Having problems with BLF
Hi, I'm having a problem getting a snom 300 to work with BLF (extension 222). I've set it to watch extension 220 in the function key config pages as per the wiki (BLF, <sip:220 at server.com>) but I can't get the light to come on when 220 is ringing. The SIP trace page doesn't show anything coming from my PBX when 220 is ringing or in use. Any help much appreciated as this

Help with decyphering DND status
Arch x86_64 OS CentOS-6.4 (freepbx) Asterisk 11.4 FreePBX 2.11.0.4 Snom870 with FW-8.7.4.8 What I am attempting to do is to set a different background colour for the BLF vkeys when a station is set to DND. This is supposedly accomplished through this setting in the phones provisioning file: <vkey_blue perm="RW"> DND Blue.on Blue.pickup Blue.park Blue.message </vkey_blue>

Broadsoft-like BLF List URI ?
Hello, I've seen several references in IP phones manuals to Broadsoft's BLF-List URI feature (also referred to as List-Oriented BLF). With this mechanism, a server is able to update the BLFs an IP Phone is supervising without asking the IP phone to reboot, as for a reason I don't know, most phones send BLF-related SUBSCRIBEs during boot time. Is this feature compatible with Asterisk

BLF and asterisk Queue
Copying to asterisk-users, as it's of use there too. I copied this code years ago from the net, it may have been modified since... This however is only used by managers, as it allows the manager to log a user in and out. For agent logged in/out status: where 8501 is the queue number and 8512 is the agent's extension, and SIP0001 is the agent's device. in extensions.conf

BLF trouble
Hello, I have some trouble with the BLF indicator. I have two phones that use the same hint: 13 => hint,1,SIP/phone13&SIP/phone13-wlan This works great from the asterisk side, but it seems the status change is too quick for the attached Grandstream-phones. When I ring the extension the hint changes to "Ringing". The Grandstream blinks. Great. Now, when someone picks up one of

blf-crypt
Hi The blf-crypt password schema mentioned in the docs could be a solution to my auth problem. However, the docs state that actual support depends on the glibc. Mine apparently doesn't. Does support depend on the glibc's version (mine is 2.15-r2)? Maybe someone with access to a box with a good enough glibc could do the following and post the hash for the plain password "test"?
