Polycom Dialplan Digitmaps
I'm replacing a SoundPoint IP 600 with a SoundPoint IP 650. I attempted to simply reuse the existing config files for the old phone on the new phone, but the new phone would lock up on the 4th digit when attempted to dial out certain numbers. So, I downloaded the newest firmware and config templates from Polycom, and attempted to migrate the settings. Seems I'm missing something from

Hello All, I have a requirement to setup a predictive dialer for a customers call center. I am asking for pros and cons of the different dialers available for Asterisk. If you are going to send marketing material send it to my e-mail directly please and not to the list. I was hoping to get the opinions of any one using any of these dialers and what they liked and didn't like, ease of

Video Conference
Hello All, I am looking at doing some video conferencing with SIP. I was hoping to get some early pointers from any one that is currently doing this. I have been all over goggle and voip-info and there is a ton of anecdotal information but, I was hoping for more specifics of what people are actually using that works and even some of what hasn't worked so that I can stay away. What I am

release of 5.5? (filesystem troubles)
hi guys, is there an estimate when centos 5.5 will be released? I'm sitting on needles here, because since I moved my 4*1.5TB raid5 from an asus to an intel D510 mainboard I encounter bug the described here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=512552 short version: running xfs on top of a raid5 under heavy load causes corrupted data to be read and the filesystem shutting down

DAHDI tor2 Trouble on Intel Atom (D510) ?
Greetings, I have a quad port Tormenta 2 PCI card (uses the tor2 driver), which I have been successfully using for some time on an older, power-hungry Intel machine. I recently moved it to a newer machine with an Intel Atom D510 CPU in an effort to save on energy costs, but I cannot seem to get it to work there. Both machines are running Ubuntu 13.10 x64, with DAHDI support coming from the

New admin, not much success
Hello, I'm trying to set up something fairly simple (famous last words) using Dovecot. I have a very small setup (just a dozen users) I'm using qmail as my MTA. I'm running FreeBSD 8.0 I've got qmail delivering into a file named 'Mailbox' in user's home directories. I prefer not to use Maildir delivery because from a shell its a PITA to get a Maildir aware MUA (I

[Asus Eeebox] USB FXO adapter?
Hello I'm contemplating building an Asterisk voice server out of the compact Asus EeeBox: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=24&l2=165 But they're so compact, they don't have a PCI slot to handle an analog phone line. I'd like to minimize footpring and cables: Besides analog/SIP boxes like Linksys (extra cables + transformer), does someone know of a USB adapter that is

eeebox and FreeBSD notes
for what it is worth, i have put some notes on using FreeBSD on the EEE Box. http://info.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/FreeBSD/eeebox.html Most things work, the one big remaining issue is configuring X11 so that it recognises non standard resolutions e.g. 1680x1050 or similar using the "intel" driver. feedback welcome cheers luigi

Permission to distribute Dovecot run file
I am working on updating the Shupp toaster, http://shupp.org/toaster/ a set of files and instructions for installing qmail, vpopmail, qmailadmin and squirrelmail. Two of my most important goals are switching the imap program from courier to Dovecot, and closer integration with OpenSuSE. (Which I run my mail servers on.) To follow the style of the toaster I need a place where I can obtain the

Using a composite device under Centos 4.8 - no mouse clicks
I recently got an EEEbox. This is an Atom based nettop. It came with a wireless keyboard/mouse which talk to a 2.4Ghz USB adapter (a Chicony device as it turns out). Now if I plug this adapter into a Centos 4.8 machine both the keyboard and mouse are detected... but mouse clicks aren't. I can move the mouse, the scroll wheel works, but buttons 1/2/3 aren't detected. Neither in X nor

CentOS-5 Hardware Probe
I installed CentOS-5 on a test machine, a P4 1.8 Ghz Compaq Evo D510 series. This was a clean install onto a new disk drive and everything went well. After updating with YUM and installing Postgresql, Rails for Ruby, Firefox-2 and Thunderbird I shutdown and restarted the system several times without incident. I then pulled the CD-ROM and replaced it with an LG-DVD DVD-RAM/RW device. I also
