T.38 Peer Negotiation Fails
Asterisk 1.4.32 (Also 1.4.26, 1.4.33) Broadvox ITSP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) Linksys 2102 (yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy) Both peers : canreinvite=yes t38pt_udptl = yes I'm having some trouble getting a T.38 fax call established with Broadvox. During negotiation, Asterisk sends a SIP re-invite (T38 switchover) to Broadvox with the Asterisk server's IP address in the Connection Information (c) instead of

unidata incom ICW-1000G - On asterisk
I am trying to use an ICW-1000G wireless handset connected to an asterisk server remotely The user is working from an offsite location and it appears that the device is not sending out keep-alives or stun. The manufacture is not being of assistance at all. I am wondering if anyone has worked with these units or has any ideas of what I could do to make them work. Anyone have a better

BroadVOX
Guys, For what it's worth, after months of trying to troubleshoot issues with them, and after paying them around $2500 for setup and a down payment (it's unclear what of that will be refunded, if any) BroadVox -- http://www.broadvox.net/ -- decided to terminate our contract without any valid reason, and the only explanation they could cite was "it's because of the software

Anyone heard of BroadVox direct?
Just received: Cognigen is very proud to announce the official launch of Broadvox Direct, a new VOIP service. Broadvox Direct offers unlimited calling plans to anywhere in the US and Canada for a low monthly payment starting at $29.95 and basic accounts as low as $12.95. http://cognigen.net/broadvox/?mu Anyone know who's behind that? It's not BroadVoice, is it?

Unidata
I have been explaining the benefits of a Rails platform to someone, who has replied to me with the following: "On paper this looks okay but practically you will need to connect to a non-relational database. The database we use is UNIDATA, this is a IBM product. Just an example for our website integration we use REDBACK to make calls and get the information we need." Does anyone have

faxing
What are your experiences with faxing through Asterisk to the PSTN? We are using g.711u as a codec, and are originating/terminating with Broadvox as well as through our own PSTN gateways. We have had some luck with incoming faxes coming into our network from Broadvox DIDs. They work 50% of the time. Not sure yet on PSTN incoming since nobody that is using FAX is in our local rate centers.

SIP codec negotiation / manipulation
We're having an odd issue with codec negotiation from one of our SIP providers. Here's the basic situation. We receive an invite from them advertising support for G711, G729, and G723. In our response, we send back that we support G711 and G729. In about half the cases, this results in no problems, with audio being encoded with G711. The other half of the time, they send us a second

Supervised call transfer problem
Hi all, I am running Asterisk in conjunction with a Sip proxy. Asterisk is registered to an external SIP carrier (sip.uni.it) If a call reachs Asterisk through the SIP carrier, then it is forwarded to the external SIP proxy extension (530 at weboffice.dyndns.org), when the extension 530 that has answered the call tries to transfer the call to another extension (513 at

More on Broadvox
Well, in lieu of dropping us, Broadvox has transferred us to their lab switch (keeping our DID's in the process). Now they're complaining that asterisk is sending a Silence-Suppression OFF request of some sort. There's no way to turn this on in asterisk is there? (Yes, I know it will shoot call quality to shit. Otherwise, does anyone know if SER works with silence suppression?

Voicemail2 and RFC2833 DTMF
Hi, In testing the Budgetone we have noticed something strange with DTMF and Voicemail. When we set the Budgetone for RFC2833, and connect to voicemail, the detected DTMF digits do not correspond with what we pressed on the phone. For example user=1001, password=1001 is detected as: Incorrect password '1111000000111' for user '111000000111' (context = <any>) Any idea

SIP dtmf=rfc2833 not working
We are testing some DTMF-driven applications over VOIP (legacy systems which use fast pulses of standard DTMF tones). The applications work fine when Digium IAXy's are used - no loss or garbling of DTMF tones. However, when we use SIP modems (such as Sipura 1000's), the DTMF tones are frequently uninterpretable and our applications have to ask for retries. I am under the impression that

"Inband DTMF is not supported on codec G.711 u-law. Use RFC2833"
Using FireFly, all other codecs but G711 Ulaw is selected. But whenever I place a call, I get: Jan 24 16:07:06 WARNING[30654495]: dsp.c:1468 ast_dsp_process: Inband DTMF is not supported on codec G.711 u-law. Use RFC2833 Umm, wtf? I thought Inband was ONLY supported on G.711 u-law. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Transferring a call, IAX2->SIP, DTMF/RFC2833 doesn't work?
We are using Asterisk 1.0.7. We have this scenario: IAX2 user comes in to Asterisk, dials an extension, and transfers to a SIP user. The dial command is simple, looks like this: exten => 300,1,Dial(SIP/300) Extension 300 is a legacy PBX device operated by touchtones. The user (coming in over IAX2) is trying to drive this PBX using touchtones. But the trouble is, by the time the touchtones

DTMF asterisk-2-asterisk using SIP w/ dtmfmode=rfc2833
Hi, I'm am getting doubled DTMF on some digits with one of my providers who also uses asterisk. We're using SIP, with dtmfmode set to rfc2833, and the codec G.711. Once out of every five or ten calls, there are no problems, but more often than not, the DTMF is getting doubled-up on at least one of the digits of the extension dialed. I've tested with a CVS-HEAD from Febuary, and just

RFC2833 SIP trunks and DTMF
I have a telco providing DTMF inband, they say they can't provide it any other way. This is creating headaches for me. What is the common method for SIP DTMF? Kpml, or 2833 or inband? My handsets don't support inband so I'm tying up some expensive resources to convert the inband DTMF to out-of-band DTMF... Can you recommend a vendor in US that provides SIP with DTMF in RFC

DTMF Corruption Problem in 1.4.2 for SIP RFC2833 plz halp
Hello mailing list, I have been porting one of my Asterisk boxes to 1.4 and I have encountered a nasty DTMF problem. What happens is someone might come in to my IVR and enter "12345" and what will actually come through could be along the lines of "12234445". Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I had this problem with 1.2 back in November but was able to solve it
